GREAT PROUDUCT!
The controllers we bought arrived hastily, the one my nephew is using works great, we bought two, one for backup. He is happy with it. He has had a disability since birth and loves to play his racing games. GREAT PRODUCT!

Very durable and looks great!
I bought the Gold version and it's been excellent. Even though nothing lasts forever, this controller survived several accidental drops and kept working perfectly. It's very resistant and the quality is exactly what you expect from Sony. Highly recommended!

Absolutely awful. Edited: Seller fixed the issue.
I didn’t realize it was used, or whatever this is supposed to be. Refurbished? It looks new but came with no box. All that is one thing, but most importantly, it doesn’t work. It will not connect to my PlayStation at all. The lights flash and it acts like it’s doing something and it doesn’t do anything. It won’t connect via BT or USB. Guess I gotta deal with the hassle of returning it. Oh, to top all that off, it took a month to deliver. Absolutely abhorrent. Chances are I’ll end up eating the price and throwing it in the garbage. Update: I messaged the seller and they sent out a replacement no questions asked. I again had issues connecting the controller but it did finally connect via BT. It would not connect at all via USB. Tried multiple cables and no luck. Glad they sent a replacement for me. These are prices pretty high.

Still One of the Best Controllers Out There
I’ve had my DualShock 4 controller for a few years now, and I still think it holds up incredibly well. The design just feels right in my hands—comfortable, lightweight, and responsive. The layout is intuitive, and everything is within easy reach, whether I’m playing something casual or a fast-paced action game. The analog sticks have a nice amount of resistance, and the triggers feel smooth and responsive. I’ve never had issues with input lag or drifting, and even after heavy use, the buttons still have a satisfying click. The touchpad isn’t used by every game, but when it is, it adds a nice bit of versatility. I also really like the built-in speaker and light bar. It’s small details like those that make the experience feel more immersive. Battery life could be better, though. I usually get around 5 to 8 hours per charge depending on the game and whether the speaker and light bar are being used a lot. It’s not terrible, but I do wish it lasted longer without having to plug in so often. Charging is easy through a micro-USB cable, though I kind of wish it had moved to USB-C like newer controllers. I’ve also used the DualShock 4 on PC and it works great there too, especially with Steam recognizing it right away. Overall, it’s a reliable, well-built controller that still feels great to use, even with newer options out there. Whether on PS4 or PC, it’s one of my favorites.

If you game a lot, you will notice a difference
This new version of the DualShock controller is definitely worth replacing your old ones with. I do a lot of gaming (4-8 hour sessions, 5 days a week) and my old version controllers were starting to get pretty worn out. I was looking to hold out for the new E-games endorsed controllers that are dropping later this year but when I heard this was available and read the specs I thought it would be worth trying them when they dropped to $40 sale price. What was appealing to me was the longer battery life and ability to "hardwire" the controller with a microUSB for basically 1:1 input (no input lag) A few notes about this controller: 1. Hardwiring a PS4 is EXCELLENT and long overdue. If you are a casual gamer or play games that do not require a lot of precision movement, you may not notice a difference. If you play a lot of FPS or fighters at a high level, you will notice a difference with this controller. Playing Destiny last night I found that the trigger pull to my gun firing was instantaneous. Turning was quicker and more precise, I even noticed being able to move through menus quicker. My old controllers must have been more worn out than I thought. If you are going to hardwire, a few important things to note: - Make sure you go into your "Device" settings in your PS4, then under Controllers make sure to select it to run off of USB instead of Bluetooth. This only works for this new gen Dualshock controller, not the old ones. - Make sure you have a microUSB cable that is long enough for your gaming / seating setup. I generally like to buy things that are bigger than necessary so I pulled the trigger on a two pack of 10' long cables for like $8 ( [2-Pack]Micro USB Cable,10FT/3M Extra Long Type A Male To Micro-B Male Charging Data cord For Samsung Galaxy S4 S6 S7 Edge Note 4 5 LG G3 G4 Android Canon Nikon camera MP3 player . I am glad that I did, because the risk you run when hard wiring is the cord getting pulled and you going dark during a game. I did not have this happen while playing but when I put the controller down for a quick break it disconnected. Note for if this happens: Make sure you plug the controller back in and hold down the PS button to reconnect it. So the theme here is if you're going to hardwire make sure you get a cord that has plenty of slack for your seating setup. 2. The buttons and joysticks have a nice, improved matte feel to them. The triggers feel crisper and have a slightly heavier trigger pull (again, probably more noticeable due to my old ones being worn out). The joystick material feels a lot more durable and for some reason they seem raised slightly higher than the old controllers. They probably aren't (it could be that the material is new and hasn't worn off yet) but that definitely made in game movement easier. 3. The small light bar shining through the touch pad on top is a nice touch but frankly I don't play many games where the light bar is that important to to me. I can't comment on how much longer the battery life is as I've only played it in hardwired mode but that would be a nice added benefit for those times I do go wireless (which I may never do now). If you're on the fence about this and you do a lot of gaming, it is definitely worth the investment!
