What is idle amp draw of coil clamped closed? ... and; Is it ok to power relay coil 24/7, ... until occasionally released ?

It is usual to try and design your circuit so the relay is in the rest position until needed. In other words, try to use the NO or NC terminals for the circuit with the longest on or off time. However, since this is not always possible, ,, This is designed for continuous use.

I want to add this relay with a wifi switch to remotely shut down a 50a ac circuit. how do i wire it if i want the contactor to be normally closed?

Simply wire both poles through the N.C. and common terminals. As long as your wifi switch can handle 110v those would be wired to get cool portion of the relay. Other than that, you're good to go!

Could I use this with an Amazon 12v switch to control a 220v 12A electric car charger?

The coil on this requires 110 volts to work, but you should be able to find a 12 volt version. You could use a 110/120 volt standard house switch to trigger this to make a 220/240 volt connection to your charger, as this rated for 80 amps, 12 amps should be no challenge.
