Forney72755 Wire Cup Brush, Coarse Crimped with 5/8-Inch-11 Threaded Arbor, 2-3/4-Inch-by-.014-Inch

I have been using the Forney wire-cup-brush to remove rust and stains off of my motorcycle exhaust pipe. It has been working well. Before using this wire-brush for the first time, use a wire cutter to trim off some frayed wires that are longer than others. During use, be sure to wear long denims, long-sleeved shirts, gloves, and face-shields, because, like all angle grinder wire-brushes, loose wires will shoot-out once in awhile. I do recommend this wire-cup-brush for its function and low-price-point.

Don’t last long

Wear eye protection and pants. I pulled several wires out of my pant leg. That is common for any wire brush even at recommended RPMs. Makes quick work of paint and rust. Go slow, especially if you're not experienced using this tool. Great value. Would buy again.

I used this brush on an old rusted wood stove and I was surprised how well it took the years of rust off.**However be very careful and wear protective clothing when using especially a full face shieldMany wires fly out of the brush and become projectiles which easily embed into skin

I use this on a 90 degree drill motor to clean up my grill grates. It's soft enough not to cause damage to the stainless grill grate and it zips off the grill crud fast.Be sure to wear gloves and glasses when using this wheel - metal pieces will come off the wheel. I make sure to vacuum up the grill when I'm done with a shop vac and I wipe the grates down with vegetable oil to make sure none of the wires from the wheel adhere to the grate.

It’s not as pricey as others for sale, but be aware that it won’t last for very long under light/medium duty applications such as stripping rust. It fell apart within 40 minutes of interrupted use and now it’s pretty much garbage. Wouldn’t recommend unless it’s being used for very light duty.

This wire cup is very decent for the price. It's from Forney's lower priced value line of brushes with the red painted bodies made in China, but has been holding up well. The crimped wire on this cup is firm enough to remove paint and surface rust from crevices without gouging the metal surfaces below, like a coarse knotted wire cup can sometimes do. I have been using it continuously with my 5" Bosch angle grinder which runs at 11,000 RPM and although the cup is now slightly splayed, it is still in working condition and retaining the majority of the bristles, so I think it was well worth what I paid for it.

Used it until I ran out of bristles. One word of caution though, it does throw out bristles as you use it. I plucked many from my clothes a a few from exposed skin. Be sure to wear appropriate protection, especially protective eyewear.

Great price on amazon! All others are more expensive. And they do a good job of clearing rust and debris before they do eventually wear down. Wear eye protection!

I used this wheel for less than 45 minutes before it was done. Bits of steel brissels flying from this wheel. Better get a face shield as this wire wheel is dangerous from flying metal. Do waste your money like I did. One star, because it's the least I can submit
