Tastes so Legit but sugar, red 40, and milk free!
I grew up on Thai tea from the markets, the bottles, the cans, at restaurants, from the mix packets, so I know what a “legit” Thai tea tastes like. After having to stop drinking milk, and avoiding red 40 (artificial dyes) and cutting down on sugar I right I would never have a good tasting Thai tea ever again. I was craving some Thai tea really bad the other week and thought that just MAYBE I would find something that fit the bill here on Amazon. Lp and behold I came across this tea, which is a larger cost upfront but I was willing to give it a try. I used 5 tbsp to brew just under two quarts of tea, which will get me at least 6 servings, so for the cost per serving I think the price is good. I sweetened it with stevia and added plant milk, and look at the color! Not quite as bright as an artificially colored Thai tea but definitely had that distinct orange. And it tastes really legit too! I’m crying holy tears over here. Thank you for making this tea mix!

Natural Thai tea without fdc yellow 5 & 6!
This tea was delivered 10 minutes ago and I already looooove it! I am so excited to make my own thai tea! I chose this tea because it was all natural with color from annato, not fdc yellow 5 &6. This is a tea mixture, not a powdered drink mix. I love loose leaf tea, so I am already prepared to brew. You will need a fine tea strainer because this tea mix has course and fine texture leaves. I love that now I can make this with whichever kind of sugar or milk I want! You will have to brew 1 cup of water and 5 teaspoons of this tea mix 3-5 minutes which is no time at all! Then add your sugar and milk and you'll be in this tea heaven. I do like mine strong so I will have to tweak their recommended recipe. What's great about this is, now you can make thai tea less sweet or with stevia for any diabetics out there. Really, it's soo good and natural and just get it!

Light flavor
I been trying to look for a healthier thai tea without the artificial dyes. The ingredients to this one doesn't have any dyes. Flavors are lighter and not your typical thai tea flavor but the tea still smell good. Tea is a brown orange but once you put creamer in it, it will look like milk tea. It says to soak for 3-5 minutes. If you soak longer, it will be more bitter but once you add the milk and sugar, you can't even taste the bitter. It's not going to taste exactly like the regular thai tea but close and it's still good. You just have to know how to mix it.

Closest to the real thing that I've tried so far!
I've tried Pantai but it has a few warnings on the label. They don't fit the brand of the establishment I work in and Ive been working on a Thai tea shake. I've ventured out and found this brand. With this, the tea flavor is stronger and seems to be decent quality. It was delicious with demerera simple and cream. A little extra vanilla flavor would be perfect. It's as close as I've gotten to the flavor of restaurant Thai tea with alternative products I've tried so far. It was great in the shake I made also which was accompanied by Baileys and a little strega.

No bad ingredients
Why did you pick this product vs others?: My package came early and this is the second time I’ve orders this! I love this brand because it is raw and has no bad ingredients also no food dyes and tastes amazing!!😱

Edit: Not* So good! Just like at the restaurant!
Update: I ordered this tea again and this time it came out super bitter and an opaque orange like rusty, dirty water. I’m super disappointed because I waited and waited for it to come back into stock, and finally just went with the big bag thinking it was worth it since I loved it so much last time. Original: I am a Thai iced tea addict. But it’s ridiculously expensive at restaurants for what it is, and I had no idea that most teas have artificial food dye added to create that orange hue. I like that this is straight black tea and vanilla, with annatto to give the color. I started with 5 teaspoons for 6 ounces of water because I didn’t want weak flavor and color like other reviewers have mentioned, but I’ve experimented and have found 8 oz of water and 5 teaspoons is still flavorful and good. If you’re really pinching pennies you might even be able to go up to 9 or even 10oz of water. I do boil my water to only 200 as I don’t have a setting for 206, and I steep for about 5 minutes then strain into repurposed juice bottles that hold 64oz, and then cool and chill them. If I want a sweetened version (like from restaurants) I add a few teaspoons of sugar while it is steeping. I did about 6 teaspoons for 64 oz and that was way too sweet for my taste. I cut it down to 3 teaspoons and that is perfect. I top it off with a splash of whatever dairy I have in the fridge: half and half, whole milk, 2%, 1%, non-fat, oat, almond, coconut. Doesn’t really matter, it’s always delicious. Just try this tea!!

Very little time and effort used to sell this tea
By itself, it doesn't have the right blend of flavors. So I had to spend time researching the right spice blend to add to it. I wasted 3 servings of this VERY expensive tea trying to figure out the right spice amounts! Love the END result that I have now figured out, but not the amount of tea I had to pour out because of their seeming inability to include the spices to begin with!

Excellent -- Tastes Exactly Like Thai Tea in a Restaurant
While this tea is a bit on the pricy side, it's worth it. The very first Thai tea I made (using a French press to extract as much from the loose tea as possible) was fantastic. For a Thai Tea that tastes like what you get in a restaurant, brew two tablespoons loose tea in 10oz hot water (use a French press to get the most of it). Pour into a heat-safe container with 3-4 tablespoons sugar (yes, it's sweet) and blend until sugar is dissolved. Pour over ice (in a container that can take quick changes in temperature) and add half-and-half to make it a dark caramel color. Enjoy, and have another. Amazing.
