Can't Beat the Customer Service
Okay, so I haven't actually USED this board yet. And I rarely write reviews. But the sheer customer service of Greco has forced me to give it 5 stars already. Let me explain.First star: I wasn't sure what kind of board to order, so I emailed the generic "info" email on Greco's website. It was about 11:30 p.m. on a Monday. Within 15 minutes, I got a detailed reply from the OWNER with some great advice.Second star: Check anywhere else, and you'll find a $100 shipping charge for boards of this size. With Greco, it's free from their website (or a mere $30 if you order through Amazon).Third star: A couple days after ordering my board, I noticed it hadn't been shipped yet. So I visited the Greco site. There, I found out that the entire staff was on a mission trip to Guatemala, teaching low-income kids to surf. This is where their profits go. To developing nations.Fourth, fifth and, if possible, sixth star: When my board did arrive, I noticed the box had a huge rip in it that was taped back up. I opened the box and found the surfboard had been cracked in transit. I emailed the "info" email address again. And again, within an hour, the OWNER replied apologizing profusely and promising to take care of it immediately. I asked if he needed any tracking info or if I should re-tape the box or anything. He replied immediately with: "Nope I'll take care of everything. Monday/Tuesday I'll have you leave it outside your door for FedEx to pick up. Stay tuned. I will let you know. Sorry again."

Great foam longboard, super responsive company
I've ridden my white 9' Greco Eden for two sessions for a total of about 4 hours so far, and I love it. I bought it for two purposes, 1) to more easily catch the mushy little waves we have here in central California in the summer and 2) to teach my two boys how to surf. This is my fourth surfboard, the other three also being foam boards. The board is thicker than my other boards by about half an inch, and has a bit more rocker (curvature). Despite being thicker, is actually weighs less than the beat up old 9' BZ I was riding most lately. The board is very floaty, easy to paddle, and is pretty resistant to pearling (going nose into the water). Yet I can maneuver it about as easily as my 8' Costco Wavestorm board. The bottom line for me is that I can catch waves on this board I'd miss on my other boards, and it's fun to ride.I can't comment on the performance of this board compared to a fiberglass or epoxy board, but I can say I was able to catch waves and maneuver comparably to guys on those types of boards.I think this is a great board for a beginner, or for anyone who wants an easy-to-ride, fun board for the smaller surf.Oh, and all the stuff about the company is true too. Sadly, my board arrived with a small dent due to negligence from Fedex, and the company promptly replied (same day, usually) to all my email and offered me several options. In the end, I decided the dent was small and I just wanted to ride the thing. But the customer service was great.

are terrific and they both love them
I bought two of these 9' boards for my kids -- ages 15 and 20 -- to give surfing a try. They had tried before over the years (on more expensive boards) and never really got into it -- the boards were all too big or too small. Nothing was "just right." These boards, however, are terrific and they both love them. They are also great for when one of them has a friend over. Everyone loves taking the boards out! The boards catch the little waves easily and can ride the bigger ones with ease. Customer service was also amazing: I needed the boards delivered to our shore house on the first day of our vacation and they arrived exactly on schedule for no extra charge. Money well spent -- I'm now thinking about their paddle boards....

Great beginner surfboard
Overall this is a great surfboard for people who are just beginning and just want to go out and ride most waves and have fun. I just started learning to surf and started on a 10 ft foam longboard. I wanted to buy one but it was hard to find any foam boards that big which were not expensive. I chose the Greco Eden 9 foot over a longer board because it is wider and thicker than most foamies. I could not be happier with my decision and the price cannot be beat. This board is easy to balance on and easily catches even the smallest of waves. For those just starting to surf seriously consider the Greco series.

Greco Eden Fantastic Board!
Great board for beginners and fun to ride for experienced surfers. The Eden is very buoyant and catches waves easily. This board is ridged and does not flex like other foam boards. Greco has excellent customer service to go along with their quality products.

Great board for the price and excellent service
I ended up buying this board directly through Greco and not on amazon but I found the product here initially and think its prudent to leave a review. I am a beginning surfer and this board is excellent. Lightweight yet sturdy and I have found the board much easier to get up on than others I have used. The price point is well below that of other brands and the quality is just as good if not better. And the customer service experience was fantastic. Not many better buying experiences than this one and I am a heavy online shopper.

Awesome performance softtop
I love this board, I've surfed it numerous time and it's little brother the 2.0. I've ridden it in 2ft to head high waves. It's so easy to paddle and works for everyone I think....This is a great beginner board. It has lots of buoyancy and softer fins to avoid injuries plus it's a lot more durable for those that aren't used to carrying a bigger board. This is a great intermediate board. It has the shape to give you the ability to turn plus it's built with a rocker to avoid nose diving on bigger waves. This is a great board for advanced surfers who want to have fun on smaller waves and need an affordable board that performs like a standard longboard.
