Right Match
The file cabinet lock arrived a few days earlier than I expected, and the installation is simple and easy it took me about 10 minutes get it done. The new lock works smoother than the original one, I love it.

Worked on Office Impressions Filing Cabinet
Bought this as a replacement to a lock on an Office Impressions 2-drawer vertical filing cabinet which I had lost a key to. It was almost identical to the lock that was in the cabinet and went in with ease. Functions properly and seems of decent enough quality to do what I need it to. If this was for a heavier use cabinet, I'd want something that felt sturdier, but this will suit the needs of most people who are not locking and unlocking their filing cabinets constantly.

Works great, 5 minute install.
Very simple to install, took me about 5 minutes, just pull the top drawer out, use a flat head screwdriver and the palm of your hand to alternately tap/push on the left and right sides of the cutout where the lock goes until the little metal piece falls right out, no need to pull it from the back with pliers once its loose like the directions say, just twist it side to side until it comes off, which will also keep you from having metal burs that will prevent the lock from sliding in smoothly because its a snug fit. Do check for metal burs though, and use a small file(or your flat head if your lazy like me and don't want to walk to the garage) to scrape them off with, then insert locking mechanism, slide retaining clip on from the back into the pre-made clip slots, insert the cam that works, then lift up on the locking bar thats already inside your drawer so that the hole on the cam lines up with the hole on the locking bar, and push the fastener into the hole with your thumb, It takes a little effort, so if your have soft girly hands just get it started then put the side of the handle of your flat head screwdriver on it and and hit it with your palm. unlock the lock, put your drawer back in, and test. Done deal.

Cabinet lock
Product was well made, and would of been easy to install had I paid more attention to what I needed. The lock was round and I needed an oval shape.

Part orientation is important
The media could not be loaded. I have a 25 year old 4 drawer Anderson Hickey file cabinet that I wanted to add a lock to. This lock kit works great, BUT make sure you understand the correct orientation for the cam/lifter. It frustrated me at first. I hope the video helps you identify which end goes in the lock. Also, regarding the correct lock to purchase, the oval knock out is definitely not round. 3/4" wide and 1" tall.

Easy to install for most people
Instructions were clear for most people but not me (lol). The item took me some time to install since I am not too handy. After numerous attempts I found out what the issue was thereby correctly installing the lock. The distributor was patient and offered a return. I grateful the return was not necessary.

Just what the lock doctor ordered!
I have had the filing cabinet for more than 20 years. Then one day unexpectedly, the lock spring sprung and I was at a loss. this replacement cured all. I drilled out the old lock and this one fit perfectly. Secure. I'm happy

Works "fair"
I bought this for an Anderson Hickey cabinet I bought around 1992. It is generally straightforward to install, but I would watch one or two of the on line videos available to ensure you doing it right. The device comes with two different cams, though both seemed to fit the install. My grievance is that nether cam results in a smoothly functioning lock. I decided to use the cam without the "curved hook." The lock won't push all the way in on the first push. It requires a quick second push and then it locks without a problem.
