Nuthin' But Mech Volume 2 Paperback – June 15, 2014

This is an incredible follow-up to the first volume of said book (which I also have). With 40 artists contributing to the artwork about Mechs how can it not be great. The art styles vary wildly, from the very typical detailed military style bipedal walker Mechs of Fausto De Martini to the awesome retro styled art of Francis Tsai you have it all. Heck Eric Joyner even has Robby the Robot ripping some tunes on a Fender guitar. Most of the pages are full bleed 8 1/2 x 11 artwork so you get BIG detailed images and 16 of the 117 page book are double page bleeds. For the price (which is cheap) this is a great addition to anyone's sci-fi art book collection or addition for your reference library.

This book is awesome. I am not a complete fan of tech art but I really love the amount of detail an color that has been put into the work presented within. Pretty gnarly stuff.

The media could not be loaded.  It seems the first book Nuthin' But Mech was quite popular hence we have this sequel. From what I can see on the Nuthin' But Mech website, there's even a volume 3 coming up scheduled for 2015.Nuthin' But Mech Volume 2 features 41 top artists who have contributed some pretty awesome artworks as curated by Lorin Wood. There's a nice variety of styles to check out. For example, James Gurney is included, so imagine his dinosaur inspired mechs. Or check out Eric Joyner's retro old school robots that stands in contrast to all other high tech sci-fi mechs.There's a good mixture of 2D paintings and 3D models, and a couple of sketches. The 3D models are really detailed, and 2D paintings masterful. Makes me wish there's some sort of tutorial books that teaches us how to create all these stuff.It's a great book for those who like mechs and robots.A portion of the proceeds from this book will be donated to Francis Tsai Family. Francis Tsai is an artist and one of the contributors in the book. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. This second volume is just as great as the first one (which you should have already I hope) and will fill your hours with pleasure taking in all the wonderful designs. For me it was entirely worth it just to see Retro Red by Dylan Cole. As a lover of old-style mech from the 30's and 40's this just blew me away. Can't wait for volume 3.

Pues que puedo decir, si te gustan los robots, este libro es una compra obligada, tiene excelentes diseños, y lo mejor es que es parte de una colección; así que si te gusta este libro no dudes en comprar los otros dos. Y amazon los tiene a un precio excelente.

Great art work, printing quality is nice... Im a fan of these series. I strongly recomend it if you like mecha, robots... and want to have a nice reference book for ideas.

El libro tiene un buen contenido, buenas ilustraciones de ciencia ficción, especialmente robots que sirven como inspiración o simplemente como entretenimiento.Este es el que trae menos páginas de los que tenemos (sólo del 2 al 4) pero eso no le resta valor.Sin embargo el encuadernado y la impresión no están para nada a la altura del contenido, parece que se va a despegar en cualquier momento.Como he dicho, un buen libro de ilustraciones.
