Needed a way to fish a wire through a wall
Was going to move my thermostat to a different location, so I drilled a hole in the top plate where I wanted it and dropped the magnet on a string down the hole. Took a few minutes to find it with the other part, but it worked great. Definitely far easier than my previous method of using a hanger to try to find the cable in the wall cavity!

Life saver for one wall cable solution
This was a life saver, I was easily able to run cable through my wall using this. Magnetics are very powerful and I was able to easy run wire in seconds. Only improvement it needs is the cable, I see threads breaking off after couple of use.

Great product but rope is weak
Very good product. I used it once and the rope snapped. The rope seems kind of brittle. But other than that I got no other complaints. Maybe a stronger rope would be nice

Impressive
I was skeptical, but I bought it anyway. It turned out to be a stress reliever. I wasn’t able to fish a wire down my wall, because of the installation. When I used the magnet, I was able to travel down the wall with ease. I even hit resistance half down the way and was able to pull the magnet around the blockage and back to the original path. Very good product.

Made my job simpler
Bought this for a specific job of pulling stat wire through walls when the construction crew beats me to projects and already has the drywall up. So far used it on about 5 separate projects and have had no problems. I imagine the reviews about the end separating is due to it getting stuck and then jerked hard

Educate potencial client and let them know it is not meant for walls with metal studs
Product has a great theory however it is not mention that both pieces are magnetic. My very first and only chance to use it, I placed end with string in the wall, it touched a metal stud and that was the of that. No way no how to pull back out only remedo was to cut the wall and that was nonsense.

Great with a few things to be aware of.
This little device helped us tremendously pulling speaker and network wiring in an existing home we purchased. The magnets were strong and worked well with standard drywall. The magnetic end of the string is very large,I had to drill 1 inch holes to get it through. Not necessarily bad, just be aware it’s bigger than some of the other (more expensive) options we saw. The case is handy and makes it easy to keep the parts together when not using. The other is we had was the nylon cord fraying in the middle, probably due to some sharp item in the wall. The cord remains solid and usable it we had to be mindful if how tight we pulled it. Would recommend, just be aware of the limitations.

Easy and effective
Bought this because I couldn’t feed a cord through the wall at home. Worked perfectly and was done in 1 minute
