R&M Richards Women's Gathered Off The Shoulder V-Neck Gown

Bought for my sons wedding. Perfect fit. Lightweight. Fit just right in all the right places. The ruching at the waist was very flattering and the ruching down the back accentuated my behind and gave me some shape. Super comfortable too! I’m 5’4”, wear a size 14-18, depending on brand. I bought both an 18 and a 16. Wasn’t sure how it would fit with the spanx! 16 worked perfect! Free returns on the 18. I received so many compliments. Can’t wait to find an occasion to wear again.

I am 5'6" and about 190 lbs. A curvy, middle-aged woman who was looking for a pretty dress for my daughter's wedding. So many Mother of the Bride options are too frumpy for my taste. This dress fit like a glove and was the perfect length. Love how it covers my upper arms, as I'm self conscious about them. It's a tiny bit sexy, but mostly classy and elegant. I received a lot of very enthusiastic compliments in this dress. The price was excellent. The fabric is a light, comfy jersey material. The 16 fit me snuggly, but not too tight. I can literally pull this dress on over my head. It's a timeless classic, so can be worn again and it will pack easily, should I ever need to take it on a trip.

I have purchased formal dresses from Alex Evenings for years. The quality, fit, and price of their product far exceeds other more expensive brands I've tried. Needless to say I was not sure what to expect from R&M Richards. This is actually the 2nd dress from them I have purchased recently. THIS DRESS IS STUNNING ON!! I am large busted and the fit is perfect. It is to long and will need hemmed but I am used to that. The fabric is light weight, drapes perfectly, and very forgiving. Perfect for a summer evening. I did see there was a couple of knock offs of this dress for half the price. I decided not to risk it. At $70 I couldn't go wrong. I have seen comments about the fabric looking cheap. I disagree with that completely.

I bought this dress thinking it was an option for a previous purchase of the same gown through a different seller who did not carry my size. Despite the similar pictures, this gown was not the same. It has a full bodice made to look like a cross-over top (whereas the other one was a cross-over top). I am a size 14 and even a size 16 did not fit my "D" bust line. The empire waist line falls in the middle of my bust line, and it did the same for a friend of mine who also ordered this dress. The body of the dress did fit well despite the top being small. Also, contrary to the product description, the dress is not lined - only the top portion has a second layer of the same material (not what I would consider a lining). The material is on the thin side as well.

I was very hesitant to order a dress like this on line; however, I didn't find any in the store that I liked on me. This was for my daughter's wedding. I received a lot of compliments. The dress did not cling to my stomach and was cut in a fashion that was flattering. I wore a size 20 and looked nice. The cold shoulder part of the dress added enough to make it dressy like I needed.

This is a very beautiful dress! I got so many compliments when I wore it at my youngest son's wedding reception (they eloped so I didn't get to be at their wedding but I got dressed up for the reception anyway)! I, also, bought another one in navy blue (for my oldest son's wedding) except I bought that from an upscale shop that cost $35 more. This dress fit perfectly - even though I gained about 8 lbs the week before the wedding due to a broken foot. Luckily, it still fit perfectly without looking bad - I love this material and the style of the gown!!! I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful gown!

I bought it in 14W to wear at close friends' wedding. This dress is not lined and the fabric looks on the cheaper side. However it has some stretch to it which was good for me. I am only 5.2" so I had to get the dress hemmed like 4-5 inches and it fell right below ankles leaving shoes visible. I wore very small 2" heals with the dress. I found the top to be on the larger side and sleeves a little too wide, but I don't have wide shoulders so most tops are too wide for me. I did not care for the bling accents as they don't stay flat and looks like they are pins not parts of the dress. I am sure it's an easy fix I just did not have time to do it. Overall it's a comfortable dress that looks sophisticated, not flashy. I wish they used a bit heavier fabric that hung a little better.

I love this dress. The color was as pictured. The quality was good and did not look cheap. The zipper; however was not very smooth. The silver jewels were fastened securely and I had no problems with them. I received many compliments on the dress.
