Far reaching and very bright. People say it's awkward to take on and off but i find it easy to attach and detatch. Compared to my old Cateye Omni 3 this is not even in the same category. I can see a long way up the road now, i can see road signs, pedestrians etc long before i could with the Omni. It lights up the trees about 200 years down the road. I almost hit numerous people using the Omni because it just wasn't any good in pitch black darkness. This makes me feel safe and allows motorists to see me much better. This 400XC is really all you need for a work commute or rides in real dark conditions. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very cost effective lamp *by N***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 August 2018* I'm very pleased with this light, so much so that I have purchased a second one on Amazon Warehouse Deals. I have 'out front' cycle computer brackets fitted(the sort that fit on the original handlebar clamp) and have used the strong bands to mount it underneath them. If you would like to remove the original mounting bracket from the Volt 400 XC for a similar purpose simply peel back the rubber mounting pad underneath which will expose a torx screw used for attaching the bracket to the main body. It is easy to charge and the charge lasts a long time. There are several good flashing and constant brightness settings which give a good choice in daylight and darkness, with the brightest setting being adequate enough for the average user(unless you are travelling at night at abnormally high speed on roads with pot holes). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ be seen be safe *by P***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 January 2020* Exceptionally bright light, best used on flash mode to prolong battery life. not the cheapest light around, but better to spend more on a good bright light if you want to stay safe.
