EMOON Clock Movement Mechanism Kit with 3 Pack Hands, Silent Sweep Quartz 12888 Motor, DIY Replacement for Custom Clock

I have a clock that is probably about 50 years old and my husband bought for me. The clock was not keeping good times in the hands were getting bent so I bought this in November 2024, to replace it. It really is not hard to install and it really works great. It gave you a choice of different hands and if I ever need to I would order this one again. The price is very reasonable, and they are quite accurate.

I have been designing and making clock faces for years and years. When I first started designing clocks the internet was not a thing (yes, I'm old, go ahead and laugh at me. You'll be old some day too) and clock parts were difficult to find. There was (and still is) a company that specializes in clock parts like this and honestly I felt a bit guilty for not purchasing this movement from them, but I was in a rush to get the part and no one is faster than Amazon so i buried my guilt and bought the part here. Honestly I wasn't sure whether it would be up to par. Wasn't sure whether it would be as good as the ones I am used to. It's just as good. Works perfectly. Silent sweep second hand, keeps good time and was easy to put into my clock face. The hands pushed into place easily. I tried really had to find something I didn't like (because of my guilt about "cheating" on the other company) but there is nothing not to like about this. It's great. BOTTOM LINE: Absolutely perfect movement, silent, easy to use and seemingly well made.

I used this to repair a decorative clock. it was varied enough to accommodate my needs for hand size/thread size and it generally works very well. it was a little fiddly to install in the clock, but that could be MY clock and not the kit, which in general was very easy to assemble. There are enough choices to be very universal for fixing a clock you like that you cannot replace.

This movement is great! It was very easy to install and is very accurate in keeping time. A clock I loved but was broken for years is now running perfectly again...and is even better with the sweep second hand this movement has. I don't know why there are people on here saying the hands don't move...but the second hand does or that this is cheap junk. It's not junk and I suggest to those that purchase it to read the instructions and all your hands will work and your clock will keep perfect time. The three most important things to remember: 1> Don't over-tighten the hex nut that holds the movement to the clock face...just snug it till the movement case won't turn. 2> When installing the hands on the shaft, use your thumbnails on equal sides of each hand and work the hand down on the shaft until it stops ( it does take quite a bit of pressure ), just use steady pressure and wiggle a little if you have to. 3> When installing the hands (all 3) make sure they point dead center on the "12", and only use the thumbwheel on the back of the clock movement to set the time. Do not move the hands with your fingers except to make a "fine adjustment". If you follow the instructions and my advice above, you simply can't go wrong. Hope this helps a few of you. There are many of these replacement clock mechanisms available on Amazon, and many of them will NOT fit your clock. They are of multiple sizes in multiple ways. Check all of your clock's mechanism measurements against each of the measurements in the display advertisement before ordering. With that said, after doing my homework, I simply waited a few days for the delivery. Assembly was not difficult at all, and instructions were clear enough. There is a nice choice of which set of hands to use (multiple provided to better match your own clock face). It has now been up and running for nearly a month, and accuracy is within just a few seconds if not dead-on the setting when I first started it up. Plus, the price was quite reasonsble. What else could someone want in order to repair a more expensive clock for just a dollars and a few minutes of assembly? Well worth the 5-star rating. Considering the small parts and the need for good light and vision, this could be difficult for some, but otherwise, assembly was rather easy.

Make sure you measure correctly. I thought I had, but I was wrong. If you can, take the old one completely out to measure and pay attention to the picture on line. Luckily Amazon made it easy to return, and get the right one. You can't hear it at all. It's wonderful! Hands have protective film on them and are packaged good. There's even step by step instructions. The hands snap into a little notch. I was afraid to press to hard so it took me a little longer to find the right spot. It came with choices on hands including the second hand. Been working now for a couple months. The instructions recommend using a Carbon Zinc AA battery. Wish that information was in the description, because I could only find at Amazon so, I had to order and then wait till it came. Over all It's great.

I have had this clock for many years. It says London Bridge, Platform 2. Quite unique. It stopped working and not wanting to get a new clock, I looked on Amazon and found many types of Mechanism kits. We measured very carefully to make sure we ordered the right one. Very happy to say that we purchased the right kit and it was very easy to install. We now have a perfect working clock.

Wrong size shaft shipped but I made due. Overall it seems to be of decent quality and keeping time so far..
