New Play Control! Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat

I was a kid when the first Donkey Kong's for SNES came out. This one is an excellent tribute to them. Music: A++++ a lot of remakes and new stuff that is all really well done. Controls are flawless. Graphics are ok, to be honest I miss the rendered SNES graphics. Gameplay is tough! A lot of new and creative ideas went into this and the game is definitely worth buying.

This game is a mix between Wii Fit and a regular Donkey Kong game. You must shake the Wiimote in certain situations to win the objective.PROS* good exercise* good clean fun* motion control* after-goal minigames of collecting bananas (shaking controllers as quickly as you can)* great graphics for 480pCONS* sweating while playing a game (although some parents may disagree)* defeating bosses were tedious and detracted from the game* catching fruit during boss battles* catching fruit and then having Kong throw the fruit the wrong way during boss battlesConclusion: I feel this could have been a 5 star game, but the boss battles depended so much on timing. The bosses can be defeated once you learn how(I watched walk-through videos on youtube).This game however does provide a great way to get kids moving by clapping and waggling, and uses the Wiimote and nunchuck masterfully.

ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE BEST GAMES WE HAVE. MY LITTLE ONE IS A GEEK AND ABSOLUTELY LOVES COMPUTERS ESPECIALLY VIDEO GAMES. HE IS VERY PICKY AND THIS ONE HAS KEPT HIM, HIS FRIENDS AND HIS FAMILY BUSY FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. IT IS GREAT FOR HIM ESPECIALLY SINCE HE HAS ASTHMA AND HAS TO BE CAREFUL WHEN THE WEATHER CHANGES WHICH, LIVING IN TEXAS, IS ABOUT EVERY 5 MINUTES! HE HAS A COLLECTION OF FAVORITES AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM. HIGHLY ENCOURAGE THIS GAME!

Nintendo has come along way with this product. Its enjoyable and addicting. In the beginning you might question why they incoporated a screen shot suggesting that if you are tired take a break. After about thirty minutes of playing this game, you'll want to take a break and rest a bit. Not to fear though, if you like the quest aspect, you will be anxious to get the controls back into your hands. I am definitely impressed and feel that Nintendo is on track with raising the heartrate. Yeah Nintendo, kudos.

It's only for one player. Basically the same things on each level. Not much fun to watch one person play. Then start a new game just to have someone lose play too. There's zero option for multiple players, not even to take turns on same game/level. Bummer.

I liked the idea of collecting bananas for every end of the level boss, but I think that I like the Donkey Kong Country series and Donkey Kong 64 better. Still, I played through it more than once and Donkey Kong Barrel Blast and Donkey Kong Country Returns and Tropical Freeze are really great as well.

This game requires a lot of energy to play and I'm too old and tired...lol. Ended up giving it to my daughter.

This game is pretty cool and fun for all ages! Im not a video game person but I love it!
