Any Ellis jack is worth the money
I have depended on Ellis jacks for a while not. A bit mor expensive but when you consider what it does and safety around that, then what is a few bucks. High quality

Tiny part missing
Set screw was missing. Other than that seems well made

High quality
Definitely recommend this for those who have crawl spaces, it is heavy duty and I felt comfortable leaving it in a hard to access area

Well made. Worked great.
These came in super handy for elevating a floor in an older building. We used them to jack up the four corners onto concrete footings we poured. They worked as planned.

A fantastic jack.
Ellis makes GREAT floor jacks. These are industrial-strength jacks that are sold to consumers. I'm singing the praises of Ellis in this review, but keep in mind I have no affiliation with Ellis other than the fact that I've ordered and used multiple jacks from them...and I'm thoroughly satisfied! You need a 4x4 board to use this jack. This TJ-4 jack is rated for 15,000 pounds (7.5 tons). They build in a 2.5:1 safety factor. So, to my knowledge, that means that this would actually support a (15,000 x 2.5) 37,500 pound (18.75 tons) load before failing. That's a pretty awesome jack. What do you use these for? Holding a floor/beam/joist up, leveling a floor, or things like that. You can't easily "lift" things with this. For that, you'd need some sort of hydraulic jack. Think of this as an adjustable block. This TJ-4 Timber Jack is a little shorter (for short spaces), a little cheaper, and a little harder to assemble than its natural "sister", the SJ-4 Screw Jack. If height clearance and ~$10 extra is a not a concern, I'd go for the Screw Jack, as it's much simpler to assemble: Ellis Manufacturing - Screw Jack 4x4 (Painted Finish). With the Screw Jack, you just insert a length of 4x4 board. With the Timber Jack, there is no "collar" so you have to drill out a big hole and secure the 4x4 board with lag screws. These jacks CAN be difficult to work with if they get stuck, but the screw adjustment can be hammered loose. Make sure someone young and/or strong is helping work with jacks like these. If you need multiple jacks, the shipping and cost per jack will add up, so the cheapest way to get a top-quality industrial jack that will last (assuming it does not rust if you have it in a wet place...they do sell rust-resistant galvanized) probably forever, this TJ-4 is a great choice. They have a website, so I would also search for it (shoring and bracing in Oklahoma!) and check it out directly to see all the products they have and make sure you get the best price. Perhaps the only downside to these jacks: when you get them, they sometimes are dirty and almost look used, but I believe it's just from being thrown around and/or stored in a dirty warehouse. Seems like they'd do a better job cleaning them before shipping them! BUT, for the price and quality, I still think there's not much better and I can't complain all that much. (I compare the cheap jacks that can be gotten at big-box home improvement stores. They might work, but if you're trying to support something important, don't you want peace of mind?)Ellis floor jacks are well-made, properly-priced, and altogether peerless. Five stars.

Heavy Duty and Good Quality Jack
I needed heavy duty jacks to level up some sagging floors. I went with the 6" model because of the weight I needed to support. These are perfect for my project. The quality of the materials, the ease of installation and the ease of use made these ideal for my DIY job.
