The Hillman Group 853342 Out Swinging Gate Latch - Black Finish 1-Pack

The latch is to keep the gate on my deck closed. It is perfect and was very easy to install. I like the 90 degree bar the latch connects to when the gate is closed. Great product.

I bought this because the fence company that installed my fence put the latch on the outside. I took it off and I installed this latch on the inside. Perfect for the angle I needed. Good sturdy quality, nice looking and of course easy to install.

It a latch… good quality. hard to mess it up.

So this old house has a stone patio and there's an old nice black iron gate on it. It has the clip part on for the gate latch but there is no indication that anyone ever installed the post. I looked like crazy and could not find any indication of any post being drilled into the wall or anywhere around there to stick out and catch the latch. They don't sell just the post in Home Depot, and, I needed something that would stick out at a 90 degree angle. It's the way the door shuts along a wall so it has to stick out like that. And it's a stone wall so it's not easy to do. But this worked PEFECTLY. I bolted it up using some gear I had, and it's perfect! The coating is nice on this and it catches perfectly every time. Glad they make this and glad I found it here!

This was exactly what we needed and, so far, appears to be sturdy and works as expected.

The right angle solved our problem, and it is very sturdy.

Does what is supposed to do. not very good quality and paint flaked off but does latch though im sure it wont last long.
