Tala Set of 2 Mini Heart Cake Pans

I saw a Facebook reel of someone making Yorkshire puddings in their air fryer using pudding tins and thought I’d give it a go. These tins are by a well known manufacturer so, were the idea choice. What a revelation! First attempt came out amazingly well; in fact the tallest and most perfect yorkies ever! The size is great for either one or two per person. A quick run around with a knife and the puddings came out with ease. As the tins are dishwasher safe, they’re a doddle to clean too. The pack of four is perfect for me and my husband and they offer good value for money. I can see we will get a lot of use out of these little tins in future and I’m already thinking of sausages with Yorkshire puddings for a nice easy winter air fryer meal rather than the faff of putting the oven on and doing toad in the hole. Very pleased with this purchase.

These are good solid moulds, ideal for mini souffles. Although probably not essential, a little oil on the sides and bottom of the moulds ensures easy removal of food. I have used in them very successfully in an air fryer but beware they do very get hot. Highly recommend.

The capacity of these if filled with water right to the brim (with a meniscus) is 200ml, so the real capacity for baking is about 180ml. They are about 50mm high, 80mm diameter at the top and 50mm diameter at the bottom. The non-stick finish is very slippery (applied on the outside as well as the inside, so turning out can be a bit tricky as the mounds can slip out of your hand), and the thick sturdy metal construction gives good heat distribution. Great moulds let down by inaccurate description - they are very much the size you are probably expecting for individual puddings, and if your recipe calls for anything from 175ml to 200ml moulds I think you will find they work well. If you go for the non-stick ones, be aware the outside is as slippery as the inside!

Took forever to try to prise them apart. Had to put them in hot soapy water and tug at them quite hard to get them to separate. Seem ok. Not used them yet so can’t comment.

I’ve been looking for some small bowls that can be multifunctional for everything from Yorkshire puddings through to poached eggs, and to jam puddings. I also want to be able to use them in the oven and an air-fryer. The mini pudding moulds appeared to be exactly what I wanted, and I am very pleased with them. They feel well-made, and have a decent non-stick coating. They are an ideal size for individual portions, and they’re perfect for what I want. I’ve had good results with everything I’ve tried so far. Recommended.
