The GEARWRENCH 12 Pt. Reversible Ratcheting Combination Wrench (11/16" - 9531ND) combines innovative design with durability, featuring a compact reversing lever, a unique Surface Drive design to minimize fastener rounding, and a mirror chrome finish for a sleek look. With a 15% off-set for added knuckle clearance and a ratcheting box-end that requires just 5 degrees to move fasteners, this wrench is a must-have for any professional toolkit.

Perfect tool for the homebrewery
I picked up this wrench for the convenience of removing/tightening ball lock keg posts for cleaning. I didn't have a ratcheting combination wrench in this size, so I picked this one up. It works perfectly and, unlike the wrenches in the small set I do have, has the directional switch on one side so it's easy to put it on and go without having to look for the embossed arrow. The ratcheting makes it super easy to work in the limited space between the rubber handles. As a tool in general, I'm pleased with the build quality, too.

Great Wrench to complete a set.
For some reason, many wrench sets don't include 11/16". I purchased this wrench to complete a set of the same style. As anyone who's used them knows, the GearWrench reversible combination wrench is one of the most functional wrenches available, provided that you get the ones without the ridge in the box end. Why the ones available at most of the popular home improvement and department/tool stores have this "feature", I don't know. However, it limits you to using the wrench with the angle of the handle pointing away from the fastener. As any auto or aircraft mechanic knows, there are some areas with limited space where it's only possible (or much easier) to use a wrench with the angle of the handle pointing towards the fastener. This wrench does not have the ridge in the box end, and that's a good thing. I've had a set of these wrenches for close to 10 years and they have held up well. They are of very good quality, but as with any ratcheting tool, they are not intended to break loose seized or stubborn nuts and bolts. Use a socket and breaker bar or a solid box end wrench when high torque is needed. Great tool, but loses a star for two reasons. It is not possible to disassemble for periodic cleaning and lubrication, and the wrench is manufactured overseas rather than in the United States. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any fine tooth reversible ratcheting wrenches that are made domestically.

Bought this as a replacement for a misplaced wrench from a set. Works well for tight spaces. The offset body with reversible mechanism is much more convenient than the straight non-reversible design. The flat wrenches limit usability against flat surfaces.
