I couldn't find Forrest Fenns gold with this book, but I tried.

In all honesty I got this book because I believe Eric Sloane is the key to finding Forrest Fenn's treasure, so I was looking for clues. In the end, I was very entertained by how different a time it was back then. It was insightful. I admire people who find a passion for something and become such an expert at it that they become the benchmark as well as an innovator. Eric Sloane was one of those people. He was the Elon Musk of his time.

Great book.

Mixed in with Eric Sloanes interesting memoir, was a lot of interesting background on the artists around Taos in the early 20th century.
