These magnets are excellent for building model airplanes on a piece of steel sheet metal.
These magnets work extremely well along with a sheet of 22 gauge galvanized sheet metal. The metal is supported by a very flat workbench. They hold the balsa wood framework together while the adhesives dry. An excellent alternative to using pins while framing balsa wood model airplanes.

They work well
I took off a star because the plates aren't attached in any way. The only way they are held on is the magnet itself. I wish they where attached to the magnet in some way.But they are strong magnets and work well for my R.C. plane and boat projects.

Really strong magnets
Like: Really strong magnetic hold.Dislike: Not glued or bonded together. Metal/Magnet/Metal sandwich which can be pulled apart - but not easily.Still very good product.

Very strong magnets
As a balsa model airplane builder, the magnet method of hold down is more solid than using pins to cork board.

Great for model building
Works great for model building keeping the wood straight.

Decent magnets -- make sure it's what you want
Didn't notice the weakness others mentioned, they are really good at sticking to each other!I was not aware that the magnets and zinc plates were not connected to each other. I guess that gives flexibility to use for cabinet latches, etc., but for what I'm using them for -- holding up signs -- the zinc plates just get in the way. So I ended up with 24 magnets and 48 zinc plates.
