Fiskars Easy Action Pinking Shears, 10.5 Inch (191000-1001)

I have found pinking shears had to use in the past. There is a lot of surface area to cut all at once and my hand would cramp. Not with these Fiskars! These pinkers have been cutting through my fabric (with interfacing) with ease. I recommend them highly!

Being lefthanded, these are the first pair of picking shears that are easy to use and work every time!

I absolutely LOVE these, and outside of rare circumstances where pinking shears are not appropriate or necessary (fabrics that won't fray, sheer fabrics, etc) I will use them for every sewing project I do from now on. The spring is slightly stiff, but it's working against the typical stiffness that good, sharp pinking shears have regardless. I have arthritis, and can't use regular pinking shears for very long so these are absolute hand savers!I've read a number of reviews claiming that they break pretty quickly, but I'm not sure that they are aware of Fiskars' lifetime warranty on this product. I haven't yet made a claim, but looking at the website, it seems to be pretty easy to submit a claim. I have been extremely happy with all of my other Fiskars products including their straight cut fabric shears. My husband and I use those for leather on a daily basis and they have lasted for years.I understand that warranty claims are inconvenient, but honestly I'm just planning on picking up a well reviewed ~$10 pair as a backup in case that happens and I need them in a pinch. Cannot beat these given the warranty and how much easier they are on my hands. Can't recommend these enough!

The media could not be loaded. Apologies for the bad video. It’s hard to record and cut. However these pinking shears are so awful that I had to post a review. I bought them but didn’t use them right away so I missed the return window. This is probably the 3rd or 4th time I’ve tried to use them and THIS is how they cut. The first inch or so is fine then it just sticks in the fabric and basically shreds it. The spring action does not work, I have to manually open them after each cut and the fabric is frayed. TERRIBLE.

These pinking shears are great. I was hesitant to get them after I read a couple of reviews, but I’m glad I went ahead. I had tried a different brand a few months ago with horrible results. I’ve used Fiskars scissors in the past, so took a chance. They cut through thick fabric and felt with no problem. The only reason they got less than 5 stars is that the open/close is a little stiff, so with squeeze handles instead of regular loop handles it makes it a bit trickier to operate. I’m sure they’ll loosen up with use, but I’ll update if that’s not the case. Bottom line, I recommend these.

These are heavy duty pinking shears. It’s my first pair so they will take some getting used to. They are kind of awkward to use because they are so much more bulky than regular shears. I had no trouble cutting broadcloth fabric with them.

The scissors are functional however they’re very stiff and need a little help to open and close. This has been a problem for others that I have noted.These are not the same quality scissors as my regular dress making shears. Cut thin fabric fine I didn’t have trouble lining up the zigzags as some others.These were rather expensive for me to highly recommend so I will hold my piece at this point. I was hoping for scissors that are like my previous Fiskars that I have used and purchased.

What a great pair of scissors !!! I have my grandmother's pinking scissors. They are very good quality scissors but oh so heavy and oh so hard to use. The new scissors are wonderful. They are very comfortable to use and have a great cut. Now, what will I do with my grandmother's scissors --- I'm thinking of framing them for the sewing room wall. I certainly won't be using them.
