No regrets! Twice as bright as T12 fluorescents
Originally, I was planning on buying 40 (2 packs of 20) of these bulbs but I donโt think Iโll need to - these bulbs are bright! For reference:I have 12 2โx4โ drop ceiling light fixtures, capacity of 4 bulbs each, in a 20โx30โ garage with 12โ ceilings (finished drop ceiling height). The fixtures were manufactured in 1982 and 10 of the 12 had magnetic ballasts with T12 bulbs - typically, at least 1 bulb would burn out each month and then the ballasts started failing more recently, one after the other.Upgrade time!I removed the ballasts and re-wired 10 of my fixtures, then installed 2 of these LED bulbs in each. In the other two fixtures, there are 7 working (and 1 dead) T8 fluorescent bulbs with electronic ballasts.Until the T8 bulbs/ballasts all wear out, those combined with these 20 LED bulbs provide more than enough light for woodworking and other projects. The best part, aside from the cost savings, is that I no longer have to listen to the incessant buzzing and flickering from those old magnetic ballasts. Also, โcold startsโ during the winter months are a thing of the past; no noise, no dim start up, energy efficient, and they even look cool. The only thing I wasnโt absolutely thrilled with (but also not surprised by) is the color temperature equivalency with fluorescent bulbs. I bought these LED bulbs in 4000K to try and match the 7 existing 4100K T8 fluorescents; no surprise, they arenโt a perfect match. The LEDs are definitely a cooler white than the fluorescents but not by too much. There are no hints of blue light and overall, I do like these LEDsโ 4000K color for a workspace but would definitely go for 3000K in any indoor living space application. Again, this is by no means a negative, just some valuable information for those of you who care as much as I do about light color temperature.

These parmida LED light tubes are awesome!
These parmida four foot LED light tubes are awesome! I loved my first case of frosted bulbs so much that this is my second case. I went with clear tubes this time so that I could mix them up according to the application. I didn't realize how many fluorescent tubes I had until I started to replace them. Keep in mind these bulbs are in clear tubes! Not frosted! I have purchased both types and it is my experience that the 4000K frosted bulbs should be installed into open fixtures such as shop lights. These clear tube lights should only be installed into fixtures with diffusers. They are very bright! If you install these clear tube bulbs into open shop lights they are so bright your retinas will melt into your head and run out of your nose. I had previously purchased a case of frosted tube bulbs and I installed them everywhere so when I got these clear tube bulbs I went around and replaced the frosted bulbs in the diffused fixtures with these clear ones .Totally amazing but be careful where you put them. like I said I have ordered two cases of these bulbs, frosted and clear. I love them all! If installed into the proper fixtures they are very bright and the color is perfect. 4000 Kelvin is a very middle-of-the-road color that illuminates everything very nicely. You will need to perform a little bit of electrical work removing the ballast and rewiring the tombstones. If you are afraid of this stuff then find a buddy that can do it for you. The wiring diagram is right on the bulb! I love that! No guesswork or having to search the forums for how to wire them up.For example put a pair of these clear tube bulbs into a 2 lamp diffused fluorescent fixture in my walk in closet and it is amazing how they illuminate the colors of the clothes. It makes it super easy to pick out my dapper outfit for the day!My bulbs arrived intact and all of them worked. Thank you Parmida for an amazing product at a great price!

Most are still working after 5 years
I swapped out all of the fluorescent tubes for these in my house, garage and shop. I have had 2 of these completely fail over that time. The rest are still working. Some of the individual LEDs have burned out but the rest of the tube is still working. I do like that they are much brighter than the old fluorescent bulbs and have started immediately even in the cold.

These are great. They require a bit of wiring modification, about five minutes of work.
These are great. They require a bit of wiring modification in an existing fixture, about five minutes of work, then they plug right in. They are a lot brighter than fluorescent tubes; in some fixtures we only needed one LED tube where there had been two fluorescents. The light colour is pleasant, not too blue, not too yellow. To modify the fixture, turn off the power at the breaker, then remove the cover hiding the ballast, and cut all wires connecting to the ballast, remove it and throw it away. In a two-tube fixture, one of the ends will have two of the sockets wired in parallel, with one pair of wires going to the (now discarded) ballast. Connect these wires to the white and black building wiring. Cut the wires off the connectors at the other end. Replace the cover and that's it. The tubes have to be inserted so the end with the electronics and logo is plugged into the end with the power. They will not light up if you put them in the other way around. It is a good idea to have some extra sockets on hand, as they tend to disintegrate if they are really old. Also it is a good idea to wear gloves if the ballasts are really old, as they may have started leaking black oil... that might be PCB-based coolant in a really old ballast, and you do not want that on your skin. I was glad to get those things out of the building!

Great lights, great value.
Was a bit nervous about these. Wanted to try a few first, but the quantity/pricing did not fit well with a trial purchase. Looked like a good value, so bought anyway. Replaced 16 in my garage and am very happy. Nice color & brightness. No delay or slow start when cold. These worked out great for me.2 years later: Still love these. 4000k color is great, no failures. They use 1/2 the power of the old tubes. Would buy again without question.

All 20 worked great!
All 20 worked great! I would purchase these again if I can find them. Some had a bit of noise on startup, but that seems to have resolved itself.

TOO LONG for fixtures
Box of 20, the majority (but not all) were a few millimeters longer than 4 ft T8 or T12 bulbs and so hard to place on tombstones in standard (Lithonia) troffers. Too tight to get in place! I broke off pins on some bulbs attempting to manhandle them in. I then went to my local big box store and bought a name brand for about $7.50 a bulb for double-ended ballast-bypass. Guess what: these fit just fine without forcing them.I should have taken a picture showing the overlap. I think this is a QC issue as not all of them had this problem. I will say they pump out the lumens but the ones that cost a little more do too. Seem true to color (I bought 4000 Kelvin). So obviously I am not happy with these bulbs.

Using without ballasts, and using half as many
I am Using these to replace the T12 bulbs where I also need new ballasts. I typically only put in 2 of these instead of the FOUR T12 bulbs in fixtures. This saves me a little time since I had to rewire a ballast anyway, so there's no additional labor to go LED. And , I won't have a ballast fail just after I put in new bulbs, so I am done.I love the color balance of these bulbs in our offices. They have a nice bright touch without being too orange or bluish. I don't know about lifespan yet.
