It still works like new and consistently produces great results. For best results, I use a measuring spoon to fill the waffle chamber—this helps prevent overflow and keeps everything neat. Tips: * Don’t overfill — a measured scoop makes a big difference * If making multiple batches, consistency in portioning keeps results even Downsides: If you overfill, batter can spill into the outer crevices, which takes a little extra effort to clean. That said, the nonstick surface does make cleanup manageable. Final Thoughts: This is a dependable waffle maker that delivers consistent, crispy results without fuss. It’s a solid choice for a household that uses it regularly and wants good performance at a reasonable price.

I've made waffles for 45 years now. Growing up it was Bisquick on my folks' standard waffle iron, and with that we always sprayed the iron. On my own, and then with my wife of 26 years, it's been scratch waffles--originally wheat-based, now gluten- and dairy-free (a fantastic recipe, by the way, that no gluten-or-dairy-eater will detect!). In the scratch waffles, we've always included butter (1/4 c in the current recipe). This completely eliminated the need for any spray--making cooking easier and avoiding any buildup on the classic Toastmaster iron we've used for ~34y (it still works great; we just wanted more capacity for guests). The butter-in-the-batter approach (and recipe) work perfectly on the Bella iron. As for performance, it went from a cold kitchen (63° , 17.2° C) to ready-light illuminated (on the darkest setting) in 3min 4s. I then wait ~10s to flip it. The ready light illuminated after 3min 12s of cooking. I wait until 4min 30s to get it extra dark (see photo). (And note in the picture, the oblong "spots" you see throughout are pumpkin seeds that I sprinkle on the iron before adding the batter. I add them, then close the lid for 10-15s to let them toast a bit, and then pour the batter over them.) Reheat time between batches is very quick. (I didn't time it, but it was so fast that I ended up turning the iron off between batches so I could enjoy one before cooking another!) As for design, I think that's what compelled me to write this review. They've covered the bases in my opinion. Storage volume: 14" (35.6cm) long, 4.5" (11.4cm) wide, 8.75" (22.2cm) high (with handle down, and including where cord sticks out ~1" (2.5cm). The drip plate is smartly held in place by the 4 little ribs (see photo) that secure it in place on the base. It does a great job of catching drips--which I tend to have because I want a full waffle :)--see photos. For storage, the drip plate slides into 2 groove on the sides, and one in the base (see photos). The waffles measure 6.5" (16.8cm) across, and approx 7/8" (2.2cm) thick. Mine are crispy on the outside and tender inside. The first iron we bought in our quest for more capacity (the Hamilton Beach Belgian Style Waffle Maker - 26025) was a cleanup disaster!!! We did one batch, and after spending 40 or more min cleaning it up--I added too much batter--I immediately returned it. If I overfill the Bella, it simply bubbles out the side and drips on the drip plate. And whatever is left on the outside of the grill itself--which is hot--just cooks and then comes off cleanly. Fantastic!! After use, I brushed off a few crumbs, let it cool, washed the drip plate, and put it away! Last word: if you're in a quandary regarding classic/traditional vs. Belgian, if you like them on the darker side, the former will give you a waffle that's crisper throughout--the center of the Belgian will be softer. But the Belgian is still nicely crisp outside. And don't be fooled by the size: the Belgian uses ~50% more batter per waffle than our 7" Toastmaster classic iron. So it takes fewer waffles to call it a meal (which also shortens the overall process).

Waffles are my favorite thing ever, I was trying to find a tool that makes the classic big Belgian waffles and this one was perfect for the price as well. Does not stick at all and easy to clean and make waffles on. I use it to also make protein waffles which the texture is a big different but still comes out great and how it should

The products works great but the assembly process seems sloppy. The entire top plate of the waffle maker (the part the handle is attached to) is very wobbly. The fact that you can fold in the handle for better storage is nice but the con was, it never truly locked in place. Overall, the size and consistency of the waffles was great! Though, I don’t see a way to detach the plates to fully wash and clean them so cleaning was a hassle. The whole waffle maker gets hot as well so please be careful when turning it on around children and pets as they can/will burn themselves just by touching the outside out of curiosity.

First off, it doesn't take up a whole lot of space on the counter, is easy to use and has an easy to understand temperature control (light to dark) and makes restaurant quality waffles in no time.

Non-stick makes for easy clean-up. We have found that cook straight on the plates allows for crispier waffles. I was using cooking spray at first but the waffles stayed soft no matter how long I kept them on there. This makes large waffles, a good serving size is half of one of these waffles. This is so easy to use that my 14 and 8 year old can make waffles on their own.

I didn’t know it was possible to fail this hard at making waffles, but here we are. You might think, “How different can waffle makers really be?” Let me assure you, this one has found new and exciting ways to disappoint. I bought this thinking I was being financially responsible. Instead, I’ve been humbled, punished, and emotionally damaged by breakfast. Every single waffle sticks. I follow the directions perfectly. I have tried every setting, but every time, I just serve up disappointment. And it’s not user error. I know how to make waffles- at the hotel, other people will even ask me to make theirs for them. At this point, I’m not making waffles. I’m performing archaeological excavations. Half the waffle stays behind, the other half comes out looking like it survived a natural disaster. Some parts are burnt, some parts are raw, and all parts are stuck. Waffle Sundays in my household are just a new way to disappoint my kids. If your goal is actual waffles, I recommend literally anything else. Spend a few extra dollars on something that works

I had been looking for a good waffle maker and this can be said about BELLA Classic. It’s very easy to use –the nonstick plates work perfectly, and the waffles don’t stick at all. I also love the adjustable browning control, which allows me to make either softer or crispier waffles. The rotating mechanism helps distribute the batter evenly, so the waffles come out perfectly shaped. The removable drip tray is a great addition, making cleanup much easier. One thing to keep in mind is that you need to measure the batter correctly to avoid overflow, but after a few tries, it’s easy to get it right. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. The waffles turn out delicious and fluffy. Highly recommend! 😊💕

Máquina ótima! Tudo funciona muito bem. Único ponto de atenção é que a lateral do waffle não aquece de forma uniforme. Precisa deixar mais tempo pra ficar dourado.

Eine schlechte Erfahrung, die ich je gemacht habe. Ersten wurde FALSCHES MODELL geliefert(wollte mit Temperaturregler, kam aber ohne). Ware würde dann von mir komplett zurückgegeben. Die Rücksendung musste von mir zur Hälfte getragen werden. Vor ein paar Tagen kam zur Überraschung noch eine Zollrechnung über die Ware, denn das Gerät wurde aus USA verschickt. Finde ich ziehmlich ärgerlich.

Fué la única con la información de su material interior libre de PFOA, en México todavía no hemos aprendido la relación salud-calidad, por lo que me incliné a adquirirla, ya avía regresado una (gracias amazon) y estoy encantada con ésta, tiene una silueta elegante, toda ella se siente compacta y resistente y después de la primera prueba que arruinamos el wafle (toda la familia quería participar), aplicamos mantequilla y qué perfectos quedaron los siguientes, me encantó lo dorados que quedan, en verdad después de tanto indagar, me volví experta en wafleras por lo que me atrevo a recomendar que lo primero que verifiquen es que el material sea libre de PFOA y PFT. Además de bonita y claro que te cocine en poco tiempo wafles exquisitos. No siempre lo caro es lo mejor en aparatos electro domésticos. Sólo tardó en llegar, ojalá puedan remediar acortar periodo de entrega.
