Practical FLR: Lessons For A Female Led Relationship

I love the style of writing in the matter of fact without being boring insights the author brings. This is truly an inspirational book that could help me to fufill my submissive nature while at the same time, growing her in confidence at her own pace. I heartily recommend this book as a practical matter. It’s not filled with eroticism but the insights are accurate, honest, thought provoking, and spot on.

Great book. I like the practicality and the focus on kindness. My partner enjoys reading it to me. I would love to see these in audiobooks. Not interested in the exteems of other books. I need the practicality. Easy to read. Please consider auidobooks.

I've been learning about FLRs, and just beginning to venture into my own with my boyfriend. This book is a great help. There are a few typos, but even Stephen King has typos in his books, so come on, it's really not a big deal- noticeable but has no bearing on the knowledge in this book. This book outlined the basis of FLRs very well and I just finished the last page feeling like I have a more rounded grasp on what FLRs are about and what they're based on. I can see that a couple needs to be careful, using boundaries and such, in order to keep it from becoming something that instills resentment in the male (even if it was his idea to start). I found this book helpful. I will be purchasing J.M. Scott's other two books as well to further my understanding of FLRs in my quest to establish one of my own with my partner 💕

I learned a lot. The stuff about the ego and the soul was what I needed to understand why I kept fighting this submissive feeling. It is a really easy read, with everyday language, so anyone can understand. I like how many different types of FLR's are shown.

For those who are newly interested or experienced this book is a MUST READ... Having read many books on the topic I can't recommend this one enough. J.M. Scott has the brilliance to describe the fundamental elements of the intimacy needed to establish a valuable relationship between any couple. The initial 6 chapters of this book could be a relationship manual for a pure vanilla couple and all of humankind would be served if it was. As to the critics who point out the need for a thorough editing I agree and the book is still readable and pure gold in substance! Thank You JR Scott

This book is right on the dot and a great guide for beginners in a Loving FLR, note the stress on LOVING. I read this book to my Wife at bed time and it gave us many opportunities for exploring what we are after in our blossoming Loving FLR Fortunately, the book was not about Femdom practices. It's a must read for beginners in a Loving FLR. This lifestyle changed our life forever, even at age72. Please don't wait so long as we did (married in 2003). A must read. PS: Like many Kindle books on this topic, this book deserves some editing and improved punctuation.

We stumbled into FLR. Actually been practicing light FLR for months. Finding this book answered many questions we both had on so many "why's". There are some editorial mistakes but this for perfectionist. What I am interested in is content and the book has plenty. Recommend for those starting off in FLRs.

I’ve read many books on Female Led Relationships on the past few months, and this one is more “out there” than most. Perhaps this book would be better billed as “Femdom” or D/s - as it looks to do much more than just empower women. To call this “practical” FLR assumes that the author’s definition of FLR is the only correct one. That’s simply not the reality of the situation. There are much better books available on the topic. Full of generalities and very questionable assertions about men and women. Finally, in spite of being billed as “practical”, this book and author deny reality: that relationships -other- than this version of FLR are all inferior or even outright failures. It fails to recognize or acknowledge that not all men are the same, neither are all women. Likewise, that any given moderately functional couple work out there own dynamic as to who is in charge, to what degree, division of tasks and chores, varying sexual needs, who has what skills, etc. It’s a bizarre work of fiction. I can hardly wait for the Marvel movie. Meanwhile, even though I paid $10 too much gor this book, I’m going to delete it and do my very best to forget I was so foolish as to trust this author had something useful and sensible to offer. For those still reading - there are probably a dozen free or inexpensive books available with Kindle Unlimited. Almost any one of them would serve you better than this one will. Save your money, your pride, and your sanity by passing this waste of time by.

I've read several books on FLR and this is the best one so far. The early chapters emphasise the foundations of trust, intimacy and vulnerability that FLR's can foster, providing a female-friendly introduction that may appeal. Whilst always making it clear that kinky activities are optional , the book also describes non-vanilla activities in an accessible way that is de-stigmatising. It's easy to read, informative and a good introduction to the subject that offers plenty of insights into the psychology, dynamics and rewards of flr relationships.
