TVA6 Trigger Valve replacement Fits For Bostitch Supercedes TVA1 Part Upgraded

Nice direct replacement.

Replacement was trivial, about 10 minute per nailer. Knock out the roll pin for the trigger, knock out the roll pin for the trigger mechanism, slide out the old mechanism, reverse operations to put it all back together.I used a box cutter/razor knife to pry out the old mechanism. I'm surprised that worked so well.The N80 stick nailer has 3mm roll pins, whereas the N60 trim nailer has 1/8" roll pins. That was unexpected.

Fits a 25-year-old Bostitch finish nail gun perfectly and restored it back to like-new performance. A testimony to the old-school Bostitch products: quality made in the U.S.A. back then. Amazing that the original trigger valve lasted over 20 years of intermittent use. Some years a lot and some years a little. Glad I found this part on Amazon.

I was replacing the trigger valves in two Bostitch nailers. Several vendors on Amazon offer replacements so I decided to see what was different between the high end ($15.50) and this one at $11.00. Note: The price for this item is now listed at $12.50. As shown in the photo containing a ruler, the $15.50 part came with the valve, extra O-Ring, removal tool, a tube of grease, and assembly instructions. The $11.00 part came with an extra O-Ring. What surprised me is that the $15.50 valve body was mostly plastic while the $11.00 part had a metal (Al?) bottom seat. I installed the $15.50 valve first and it worked perfectly. The installation instructions for the $15.50 valve had recommended partial disassembly and lubing the O-Rings, so I did the same to the $11.00 valve. As shown in the other photo, the $11.00 valve also had additional metal components. I installed the valve and it worked perfectly as well. Given the assumed build quality associated with machined metal parts, versus molded plastic I considered the $11.00 valve to be better value. However, as listed on Amazon, the valve is now $12.50 and now mostly plastic. I subtracted one point because the current valve being sold is now mostly plastic, and a second point because I have no idea how the new design functions.

Fit perfectly.Got my brother's 25 year old Bostitch N60FN back in service.Sure was cheaper than buying a new one!

Good replacement for tva6 trigger. Received the trigger valve only, the knockout pin and grease did not come with it. I separately purchased clear silicon and applied plenty to ensure adequate coverage on the o rings. Functions perfectly. I give it 4 stars because the grease is not supplied for the o rings. For clarification ** Bostitch RN46-1 uses this TVA-6 not the TVA-11. **

Product was as represented and worked perfectly. Was easy to install once you removed the old trigger. With help of you tube video ,you use air pressure to blow out the old trigger once the pins are removed. Remember to put a large rag around the trigger to catch it as it comes out quite forcefully. Make sure you lube the new O rings good and align it before forcing it in.

My 15 year old Bostitch RN 45B would not fire upon pulling the trigger and pressing into Shingle. All other components were not suspect. Ordered Part. I had to Silicone Lubricate it with my own lubricant to ensure the O Rings did not pinch. 10 Minute repair and we are good to go. Great Price and Next Day Delivery!

This thing was junk. It worked once and then it didn't. It let the air blow by which was my problem in the first place. Got the factory Bostich one from a dealer and it works fine. Bottom line: Don't bother.

So far so good. Easy to install once you watch a video or two on the process.

This product is defective. It was sent defective. I expected e quality product. It is not. Horrible. Not worth a star.

It did what it was supposed to do!
