Saw Palmetto Berries Powder - 1 lb

This was absolutely wonderful saw palmetto berry powder. Very fresh, perfectly ground in terms of consistency, not so coarse there were chunks, but not so fine it was dusty. It was also just the right amount of moisture, not wet or even moist, but also not so dry that it seemed old. The taste was right on - that combination of sour-bitter-salty with the tiniest bit of sweetness - I happen to love the taste of saw palmetto berries, although I realize that most don't. So to me, this was delicious and perfect. That being said - I wouldn't try and mix this with water or juice or put it in a smoothie or anything like that. For me, it needs to be mixed with tomato or vegetable juice, something with some bitterness or saltiness so the flavors are properly combined. Trying to mix this with something sweet would be pretty gross, maybe like mixing BBQ sauce into your strawberry and banana smoothie - obviously that's going to be a fail. So don't do that, and then say the herb is disgusting - just mix it into some organic tomato juice, or even V-8, maybe with a dash of hot sauce or tabasco or for extra DHT-inhibiting, a few drops of pumpkin seed oil, which has a warm, delicious, spicy taste and being a DHT blocker, will enhance the prostate protection, and/or hair growth benefits of the saw palmetto. The oil will also help the saw palmetto to be absorbed by the body, as I believe the active ingredients and sterols are fat soluble.I know using this as a tea is not only totally unappetizing (think, BBQ sauce flavored water) it also doesn't work because the active ingredients are not water soluble or water-extractable.I prefer using tomato or veggie juice as a mix for the saw palmetto because they both have high amounts of lycopene which is another potent DHT blocker.

Not the best, but it still works well for my intended purposes (hormone balance, PMS and menstrual cramps). I decided to change brands from the one i had been using in capsule form to this. The color is a very light brown and dry-looking in comparison...

Bulk bags beat those expensive - and often low quality - capsules every time !

it was good quality saw palmetto. the other customer indicated that it was not dry, mine was nice and dry. maybe yours not being the same was just a fluke.anyways, I've been taking it and getting the positive effects I've known good saw palmetto to give me. my slightly receding hairline (peaked over temples) halted and was noticeably restored to what it was several years ago. hair slightly stronger and thicker. hairline not receding.back acne cleared up a lot.

This arrived in a bag enclosed by a twisty tie. I was so shocked at the poor packaging I didn't use this for weeks until I read another review with similar concerns. I bit the bullet and put this stuff in the biggest capsules I could find. Size OO or 00. This is the important part. This actually works and the price is great. It did take at least a week or two but they work. I now take 1 capsule in the morning and 1 in the evening and I no longer have to get up at night 5 or 6 times EVERY night. I am pleased that most mornings I realized I slept through the night without getting up once. That's so nice. Thanks. And realize the packaging is shocking.

Great product. No complaints here. I take a few supplements so can't really isolate this one in particular to know if it is working or works alone but energy and heart levels are great.

After 3 days of taking it my period started bleeding again (my normal period was 1 week before), when I stopped drinking it the bleeding stopped. It caused my hormones get crazy. I went to the doctor and she told me even with the bleeding I could got pregnant so be careful girls, this is not good. Also I had anemia and I read that saw palmetto don't let the body absorb iron.
