Manduka Prolite Yoga and Pilates Mat

After reading a lot about yoga mats, I zeroed in on this and I am not disappointed. In fact, I am very happy that I got this.

Manduka speaks for itself so there is no need to worry about the quality of the product. For a person who is investing in a mat long term, this mat is a good purchase. The purple colour looks better in the product than shown in the image. But being charged twice the cost of the mat for 'shipping charges' to india is absolutely ridiculous!

I resisted Manduka mats for some time because I wanted to support Aurorae Yoga mats. But, when I decided to get back into Yoga after a couple of years off, I treated myself to this mat and I have to say, I love it. It's everything Manduka-lovers have been saying for years. I love the color. The mat itself is easy on my knees, which are getting used to the floor poses again. I do find it does become slick when I'm getting my sweat on, but I just use resin (Aurorae makes resin bags) or a towel made for hot Yoga. I think it's worth the price and I look forward to using this mat for a long time.

After shredding 2 cheaper mats in the past 12 months, I decided to treat myself to a more expensive one in the hope that it would last. After some research, I decided to plummet for a Manduka mat as I already have the super lite version which I take on my travels and have been really pleased with that one. Only used this one once so far but totally in love with my new mat. I use it for yoga and home workouts and even on it's first use found it to be super 'grippy' even wearing socks. It is cushioned enough to protect my bones and joints from the hard kitchen floor yet firm enough to maintain poses. Great choice of colours available to suit all tastes as as it comes with a lifetime guarantee in the long term it will save me having to buy a new one every 6 months - not to mention saving the environment. No more sweeping up mat crumbs from the floor after each workout! I am a very happy with the quality of mats from Manduka and would definatley recommend. Delivery as per usual from Amazon supplier was superb.
