This book was exactly what I needed to pass the knowledge text. I took the Sporty's prep course too and completed all the videos but didn't feel like a learned much from watching the videos.But after reading the ASA and answering various section questions, I felt way more prepared. This book explains all the pertinent information just as it's tested for by the FAA. The included testing supplement is also exactly the same one provided at the test. About the only thing missing is a clear plastic overlay sheet for drawing on with a dry erase marker over the supplement's figures but it's not essential. It just helps plotting routes and drawings lines on the figures without actually drawing on the paper. You'll also need a E6B or ASA CX-3 to calculate windspeed corrections and a plotter/protractor. Once you have all these and the ASA Test Prep book, you'll have everything you'll need to practice for the knowledge test and pass it. Good luck!

It's overall a good book but i'd have expected better explanation on a lot of stuff. I'm still a moron in weather - maybe i'll always be though.The book has short articles on each topic and then a bunch of review questions. The questions cover more than the articles but each answer is explained. Overall, a good book. Happy flying and good luck on the nightmare oral.

This book is well written and informative. I have gone through the written test prep material but this book gives examples of questions that have helped me understand the gotchas of how the questions are phrased. There are also great explanations of the correct and incorrect answers with references to where the information can be found. I highly recommend this book for anyone preparing for their written PPL test.

Great and thorough review. All you need to pass the FAA written. Took today and scored a 92. Every question I had on the test was in this book. They also have a really nice app for iPad and IPhone. You get 5 practice tests with the book and once you get over 80 on two of them they will endorse you to take the written. Highly recommend.

Lo que me agrado fue que mi pedido llego antes de la fecha programada, lo que no me agrado mucho fue que el TEST PREP no vino con unas fichas o graficos que son esenciales para resolver de algunos temas matematicos y calculos.

Excellent guide to the Private Pilot Written Exam. Each question is followed by the reason why an answer is correct and why the other choices are incorrect with references to the FAA knowledge codes and sections, right there on the same page. No flipping back and forth. I used this in conjunction with a King Schools online video course and aced my FAA PP written in September 2019.

Helped me out in those areas I was struggling with and scored a 97% on the written test. Great book and i would suggest to read the question, read the answer, highlight the answer, and read the answer again.

Took my test yesterday and all of the questions in my test were found in my ASA test prepGot 90 and was my fault because didn’t study the book in offWill get the instrument test prep for sure
