It was July 31st, 2019, my family and I were in Brooklyn, New York visiting my grandparents. We realized it was easier to fly there since it is a fourteen-hour drive from Georgia to New York. We figured we did not need to rent a car because we were either going to uber or drive my grandfather’s car (which is a 1998 Honda Accord). One afternoon we decided to go shopping, we got into my grandfather's car and we became aware that the AC was not working, keep in mind that it is ninety degrees outside. The mall was only ten minutes away, so we decided to go anyways. We sure regretted that, instead of taking ten minutes it took us about twenty-five because of New York’s traffic. At the end of the car ride we were all sweaty, uncomfortable, and never wanted to get back in that car. Because I am a genius, I went on Amazon and purchased a portable fan. It was a great purchase because the shipping was fast, affordable, the description was accurate, and the quality and functionality was great.I ordered two portable fans for $16.99 on July 31st and it arrived on August 2nd. We were lucky that the shipping was fast because we used that fan for the other five days that we were on vacation. Seventeen dollars can seem like a lot of money; however, I feel like we got our money's worth from those fans. If you think about it, we basically paid seventeen dollars for AC in the car. We also used the fans in my grandparents' house, which was also hot since they do not have central air. The size of the fan was also true to size. They were the perfect size, small enough to where we could hold and carry them and big enough for us to feel the air blowing.Unlike some other products you buy from Amazon the portable fans description was accurate. It said how it was perfect for both inside and outside, which was true because when we used the fan in and outside it worked great. It being portable was also accurate to description because the fans were light and small enough to carry around. They also did not try and hide the fact that the two d-cell batteries that are needed for the fans to work are not included. The quality and functionality were also great in this product. The fans had two different settings which was nice because it allowed us to be in control. Some people might think for seventeen dollars that the fans quality might not be good, but to us they worked great. They are made from good material and the air that blows from it is strong.In conclusion, I give the portable fans 5 stars. It really made our trip in New York better; we did not have to be sweaty and uncomfortable in my grandparent's car and house. The price of the fans is totally worth $16.99. The shipping was fast, the package only took two days to arrive and we were able to use it as soon as we got it. The description was accurate because the fans were portable, they had different settings, and they did not include the two d-cell batteries. The quality and functionality were also great. The fans cooled us down and they never stopped working. If you are looking to buy two good portable fans that are not super expensive, I believe that this item is for you. You will truly be satisfied and not regret buying these fans.

I use this small portable fan when I am out on our back porch smoking a cigar so the smoke doesn't get back into the house. It works great for this, being quiet enough (at least on the lower speed, which is sufficient to do the job) so that it is unobtrusive and adjustable to direct the smoke wherever I want it to go. The two "D"-cell batteries seem to last a long, long time. All in all, for the price you can't beat it.

I bought this fan to put on the table at my daughters wedding reception because I tend to get hot and the facility was a barn setting and not air-conditioned so I was wanting something that would help keep me cool if needed. The fan worked great and took a very little space on the table. I would definitely recommend this.

It's a great little fan, perfect for the window in my office. It is extremely quiet, and you can feel its breeze several feet away. I was pleasantly surprised that standing about 6.5 feet away I could still feel it.This was a good buy !

I purchased this fan for use during a power outage. Everything I have is USB powered or electric, so I wanted something that ran solely on batteries in case of a power outage.This fan takes 2 D size batteries, the battery case is what makes up the base of the fan, so the base is weighted and sets up well. The fan tilts and has two speeds. It's very quiet on the lowest speed and although you can hear it at high speed it's not that noticeable.The tilt feature actually folds the fan almost flat, so if you wanted to take it camping or use it in your vehicle it wouldn't take up that much room. It would also be good to use on a nightstand. It's also nice to use if one person prefers the room a little cooler than another, they can use as their own personal fan and not disturb the other person.The reason I only gave it four stars for maneuverability is that I've found that depending on where I set it, I may want the fan to blow up at me if it's on a low table, and because of the placement of the battery compartment it really only tilts forward and not backwards. Again, this would only be an issue depending on the placement of the fan.Overall, it works well, it's light and portable, it's quiet, and it will keep you cool if the power goes out!

excelente para viajes. yo lo llevo a casa de mis suegros donde siempre hace calor. no hace ruido y tiene muy buena calidad. tiene 2 velocidades, aunque siempre la uso en la más baja. usa 2 baterías de las grandes (tipo D). lo único malo y es por lo que no le pongo 5 stars es porque no tiene un conector usb o similar para ponerlo con batería externa o un cargador/eliminador, o sea que hay que estar gastando dinero en pilas. si se te olvida encendido (fácil ya que no hace ruido) se te gastará en 24 horas o menos. excelente producto.

I do not like AC at all and simply enjoy the feel of circulating air. I don't mind being a little warm and comfortable, plus trying to enjoy a nice cold summer drink while you feel cool or cold is not much fun. So, I bought 6 of these little guys making my dream come true of having a little fan network happening in a room or two. On really hot days 4 to 6 of them might be turned on high. Just bought two of the 10 inch fans which I think will create a really nice breeze with them both on. Make sure to use your favourite long lasting D batteries and play around with the location and figuration if you buy in multiples like I did. Lots of fun experimenting while saving on electricity.

I purchased this in case there are power cuts . Because it is battery operated I don't have to rely on recharging it. The fans work well , give out a good wind and are well made. Would be very useful in a number of situations, boating, camping etc.

We went camping and needed some battery powered fans - something which is surprisingly hard to buy in stores. I wanted a bigger one but these smaller ones ended up working out great, easy to pack into the suitcase and the batteries lasted all weekend, we bought two fans and only even needed one on this trip. The only thing I don't really like is the plastic hinge that makes the angle change - every time I adjust it I feel like it's going to break apart so I don't. I just leave it flat so the fan can sit on a flat surface and will use stuff to wedge under it to adjust the pitch if required.
