Great When Used In Conjunction With Other Products
Absolutely great product ... when used as part of a total care package. I picked this up as a saddle soap because my Kiwi based saddle soap, which contains lannolin, would leave too much of a residue when I would use for more casual cleaning. I was looking for something that I could use on multiple applications without having to do the extra step of wiping off that residue. And I found this product which is all natural and not harsh at all. So I purchased and tested by cleaning my horribly horribly muddy boots by doing two applications, each time following the instructions on the tin. Worked beautifully to get them clean. However I did notice that it seemed to 'remove' some of the color from my boots. This was easily remedied by doing an application with my Kiwi Saddle Soap ( which contains lannolin to help moisturize ) and then applying a leather conditioner. I took the detailed picture of my one boot after applying the Kiwi Saddle Soap but before the conditioner. Prior to the Kiwi saddle soap the color 'loss' was much more apparent and covered almost the entire back piece of leather. The complete picture of my boots is after applying this and the kiwi, but before the conditioner. Overall worked great on them. I then applied to my work shoes and absolutely loved the results. It gave it a nice casual shine and helped hide a couple deep scratches. After applying to my work shoes I applied leather conditioner and the result is what you see in the picture. Overall just know what you are buying and how it fits into the overall care of your leather. This saddle soap contains castille soap and beeswax. The beeswax should help keep it moist but won't introduce much moisture compared to other soaps that contain lannolin. However overall its a lot less harsh and good for casual cleaner when used in conjunction with other conditioning products. Highly recommend

Works well doesn’t remove stains
I like this product and it definitely got some dirt and grime out of our super old couch. However, it didn’t really remove stains although it did lighten some of them. To be fair, I have pull up leather couch that I’ve tried numerous types of cleaner and this one seems to get it the cleanest. I recommend using something other than the leather oil from this brand to follow up with. I’ve found much better conditioners that moisturize better.

Cleaning my Work Boots -- Easy Peasy with Otter Wax Saddle Soap
My Redwing Boots take a beating with wood cutting, yard work, hunting season and time in the woods. Otter Wax Saddle Soap did a great clean up as a 1st step in the process in refinishing the boots with final coats of mink oil and boot polish. Here is a before and after pic of the Otter Wax saddle soap clean up and then the final boot finish . Easy to use and great on leather.

Works great, smells good
I used this product to clean my leather Danskos and John Fluevogs. They came out nice and clean. Also enjoyed the absence of petroleum in the product. It smells like something you'd want to put on your own body.
