To find one from the vaunted KEF is terrific. Bought this speaker in 2013 and it has served us well. We had an old intercom system no longer being used so I adapted this speaker to that hole. No, it won't have heart pounding bass but the overall clarity and range are perfectly fine for a modestly sized living room and the look is very slick. The grill is magnetic, easy to pop off. I added a few squares of eggshell acoustic foam in the walls around the speaker to eliminate a little boominess. Fairly warm midrange, modest bass to about the rated frequency, and highs that are not harsh. Keep your expectations in check and you won't be disappointed.
