This is a Great Tester
This network cable tester is well worth the investment. Very easy to use - requires 4 AA batteries. Tested an unmeasured length of Cat6 - when the cable was physically measured the tester was within 5 %. Tested with various faults on a test piece of cable and it correctly identified each fault. When using the remote identifier units the tester tests the cable and displays the remote number. Nice touch is that the remote identifier unit also beeps when connected to the tester. I recommend this device for anyone working with twisted pair network cable. One caution is to not use it on eny energized circuit as you MAY damage the device.
