Beautiful Vanity!
Let me start by saying that I'm really pleased with this vanity. If you've already researched the product and are just looking for a review that confirms what you already suspect, then by all means, place your order. You won't regret this beautiful vanity for such an amazing price. If you're still unsure then let me clarify a few things that I was concerned about before I received my order... First of all, take some measurements to see if this is going to fit into the space you're buying it for. I happened to have a pretty large area to fill for my vanity and I was pleased to see that this is a bit deeper than most vanities that I found. I try not to store too much stuff on top of my vanity because I don't like the cluttered look, but this vanity could hold a ton if you wanted it to, all without even touching the drawer space. The drawers are the things that worried me the most. Like most vanities, these drawers don't pull entirely out, so if you're storing small items loose in the drawers then some of them are absolutely going to roll into the back and be difficult to see. (This didn't concern me too much, it seems like an issue all vanities have). My makeup collection is out of control so I knew there was no chance I'd be able to fit even a portion of my makeup in the drawers, but for the average person you won't have any issue getting all of your makeup (and probably a lot of other things) into the vanity. The top three drawers are pretty shallow. For reference, I can fit my hairbrush in there without any issue but I couldn't stand up a bottle of nail polish or foundation. The bottom two drawers are a bit taller and you'll be able to fit some of those deeper products in there. The drawers pull out smoothly and don't stick at all. The stool is surprisingly sturdy, something I was a little nervous about, and the quality of the fabric seems really nice and durable. Assembly was an absolute breeze. The entire tabletop and drawers section is shipped as one big piece. All you have to do is screw the four legs on and stand the vanity up. The mirror has to be screwed into the back of the vanity so that it stands up and you'll need a screw gun for this step (screws are included). The stool legs get bolted easily into the wood surrounding the cushion. There's an allen key included. The most difficult part for most people will likely be getting it into the house from wherever UPS drops it. The box is as small as it possibly can be, but it's heavy (though not entirely impossible for one person to move alone). UPS had a "team lift" sticker on my box, I'd suggest the same for you). The wood itself is really nice. I wanted something that looked beautiful and wasn't just a wood-like sticker over particle board. I'm sure I'll scratch it eventually but the product was well packaged and arrived without any scratches or dings. I considered getting a glass piece to cover the top to prevent scratching or staining but then realized that the mirror would likely get in the way. I was right, it would have. If you're considering a glass cover then take into consideration the fact that the mirror bumps in about an inch so you won't be able to order the exact size of the table top. I guess that's it. I hope that was helpful. Enjoy your vanity if you decide to get it, I know I will be!

Perfect vanity for our master bedroom.
I found a great bargain at a resale shop on a highend dresser for our master bedroom, but the black finish didn't go with the rest of my furniture. I was on the fence as to whether I would paint my existing furniture, or buy new. I saw this vanity on another site for around $400. When I searched 'black vanity set' here on Amazon, I was pretty psyched to see for less than $300, including tax and with Prime shipping. Also, it's wood, not pressed board, which surprised me in this price range. SOLD. It arrived well packaged and in good condition. I didn't opt for any delivery upgrades so the trucking company left it on the porch, but they had handled it properly and there was no damage even to the outside carton. It's HEAVY, so if you don't have someone to help unload, do what I did: open the carton outside and carry it in piece by piece. That's not as daunting as it sounds. The top section is assembled, with the drawers also assembled and in place. You only have to attach the legs to both the stool and vanity and secure the mirror to the vanity. The included hardware was good quality and organized, the instructions were clear. The whole process took around an hour including unboxing. Most importantly, once assembled, it's a great looking piece. They weren't hedging about it being wood. Even the back panel that faces the wall, which I expected to be the heavy tagboard that comes on a lot of flatpack furniture, was wood. The finish is sort a matte satin and the drawer hardware is simple but elegant. The side hinges on the mirror are full piano hinges and are functional. The seat is a perfect height. The three top drawers are the perfect depth for makeup palettes and tubes-deep enough that everything fits, not so deep that it all gets stacked and muddled. The two lower drawers are good for jewelry boxes or bigger jars, or things like sunscreen that wouldn't look pretty sitting out. The size is perfect, as is the design. It's not an overly dainty 'little girl's bedroom' piece, but has a delicate look and doesn't crowd the room. It would probably work in a larger bathroom as well.

Great Vanity, Disappointed in Stool Flaw
I really wanted to be able to leave a 5 star review, but my stool came with one leg missing the threads in one of the holes to secure it in place with the included bolt. This left me with a crooked stool. My husband is going to the hardware store this weekend to try to see if he can buy the threads to insert into the open hole so we can fix the issue (as now one leg bows in). Hoping we can fix it before it snaps out from under the stool. We did not discover this issue until we had already assembled the table and we certainly didn't want to return over a stool leg. I never even bothered to contact the company as I figured they would most likely make me return the whole set based on other reviews I had read on this vanity. But, the table itself is in perfect condition. There was one small chip in the paint, probably due to transit but it was hardly noticeable and near the bottom of the table. I find the drawers fit all of my makeup with no issues and I just love the timeless look of this table. Has a vintage vibe but still fits into my modern bedroom. I did switch the handles as other reviewers had. My kids were enjoying the clicking sound of the included handles way too much! And I also purchased a desk protector to prevent from dealing with makeup stains on the table. It was also a breeze to put together. The whole top is already assembled with the drawers in and everything. All we had to do was screw the legs on and then pre-drill holes and screw the mirror on. Easy peasy. Once my stool is fixed I know I will be absolutely 100 percent please with this set. But I had to remove the one star for the hassle of us having to repair this stool. The quality control obviously needs to be a little tighter on these.

THE VANITY OF MY DREAMS!!!
I have been searching far and wide for a vanity set and am so happy that I found this! It is well designed and sturdy..all for a very great price. I got home and had the package at my door - shipping was so fast! My estimated date was 12/10-12/13 and I got it on 12/9 - that's a day early, people! It's a pretty heavy package (almost 80lbs) so you may need help lifting it but I handled it on my own with little struggles by "rolling" it haha. :) It was also packaged very nicely with styrofoam even on the outside corners of the package to prevent damage during delivery. After I took out all the pieces, I noticed a few indents but they aren't noticeable at all...I'm just very OCD about checking every inch of a new product (even the bottom of the table haha :P) but nothing that would make me return the product. Tip for getting it out of the box (esp. if you're doing it by yourself): put it on the floor horizontally and cut the tape at the sides and middle (as you would normally when you open a boxed package), then break open one of the sides of the cardboard box so you can slide it out easily making sure that you aren't scratching any of the surfaces. I used the styrofoam under it as a cushion between the floor and the table - this also helped the table slide out much easier. Assembly was a breeze (for the most part)... 1. THE STOOL: all you had to do was align the legs to the cushion and put in 2 screws per leg. very easy. 2. THE TABLE: the table itself came assembled already so, again, all you had to do was attach the legs. Unlike the stool legs, the table legs don't even need screws. you just pop off the cap from the leg (that protects it from scratching the other legs during delivery) and screw it into the table. again...very easy! 3. THE MIRROR: now this was the hard part. To be honest, I haven't even installed the mirror yet because I don't have a power drill and am not strong enough to make holes myself. The mirror comes with 2 mounting bars to stabilize the mirror with the table. HOWEVER, the table and the mirror DON'T have pre-drilled holes for you to turn the screws into so you'll have to drill your own holes. For the moment, I'm just resting the mirror on the table at an angle so it's in place and won't fall over. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would DEFINITELY recommend this product to anyone looking for a vanity set. I can't wait to fill up the drawers and make it my own. Love it!

A Gift That My Wife Uses & Enjoys Everyday
This isn't heirloom quality. That said it is quite decent and if it gets messy with products it cleans up well. It's functional. It took me about a half-hour plus a few to unpack and set up where my wife wanted it. It was a big enough even though it's pretty compact, compact enough to allow my wife many choices as to where she would eventually decide on a final spot. The style is hard to describe but, it's a blend of modern and traditional with neither really winning out over the other. I would imagine this is perfectly intentional so it kind of "just goes" with whatever. The finish is not piano gloss black, it's definitely more matte which makes it call less attention to itself and maybe shows fewer prints and smudges. The construction, which on things of this nature, always makes we wonder if it will stay sturdy as the legs and mirror are designed to be installed by anyone including women and children. I do believe it is definitely sturdy enough in spite of the easy to put together design (wrench supplied though if you have a hex driver of your own you'll want to use it taking tare not to over-torque). All in all, until one takes the big plunge into the few and really expensive make-up vanities this is a great choice. It replaces a Queen Anne style vanity by Lane which even 30-years ago was about twice the price of this one. My wife grew tired of the old one which was still in solid shape and would be fine with a re-finish job. She likes the style and mirror of this one better. UPDATE: Three months into using my wife still really likes the vanity but has ditched the "too small" stool. She's back to using her previous vanity's four legged bench-type stool because the small one that comes with the vanity isn't very comfortable or stable. In being honest this should now be a 3.5-star rating because the manufacturer could do better than this stool which has proven itself of lesser usefulness.

Amazing vanity, looks great!
This vanity is absolutely beautiful in the cherry color. Installation was a breeze however I have only just a few complains. One: The stool is not meant to last unfortunately, it seems like it was the only piece that was very poorly manufactured and I'm looking for a replacement in the near future. Two: The mirror back mounts must be manually screwed in with a phillips screw driver, the wood is very soft to allow for this so make sure you have a tape measure and you get the exact measurements to line up the back panels for the mirror. Three: The drawers only come out about half way and look more shallow than they actually are. If you place small products in the back of your drawers you are likely to forget about them since its a hassle to dig through and find them. What I do like about this vanity is that its perfect for the amount of makeup and products I've accumulated over the years with the 5 deep drawers, the wood has a very nice smell to it and the imperfections were very minimal. If you do plan on moving the vanity from one place to another keep in mind you should not remove the mirror and it must be moved in one piece (minus the legs) due to having to manually screw in the mirror. I have updated my vanity with a 16.5x42" plexiglass top I got at Lowes and had them cut, other viewers say if you want the glass flush with the edge get 17x42". I also ordered some LED lights that stick to the inside groove of the mirror, they are EXTREMELY bright and with a dimmer are just perfect. You can order my exact lights from LE 16.4 flexible light strip and their power supply here on Amazon!

You get what you pay for. And sometime a little extra.
I purchased this vanity for myself. The shipping process was quick and the packaging was excellent. The vanity arrived with absolutely no damage what so ever. Assembly was pretty easy and I was able to figure out the vague directions and put the vanity together all by myself (I'm a 53 yr old woman). There are no holes in the back for the screws to attach the mirror, but they go in pretty easy with a screwdriver. One screw would not go in properly, so I am going to the hardware store to replace it. I got the cherry wood colored vanity and I am pleased with the color. The drawers are kind of small and do not fit into the vanity properly. You can see the spaces between the drawers and the frame. The space underneath for your knees is a somewhat narrow. So if you're a little thick in the thighs like me, this may be an issue. Now for the stool.....The seat was stuffed under the knee area of the vanity, for shipping purposes. I found it a little difficult to get it out of there. If you turn the cushion over, you will find the hardware you need in a little bag to attach the mirror and attach the legs to the stool. The cushion seat is covered in plastic, which was very difficult to take off because it's wedged between the wood and the seat cushion. As I was pulling it off, stings of the material were coming out of the crease. While attaching the legs, I felt that they weren't fitting in the cutouts properly, but I continued putting the stool together. After removing the plastic off the cushion, I noticed the cushion has this horrible moldy and musty smell to it. I sprayed it with a product made to mask odors and it had absolutely no affect. I then took a quick whiff of the actual vanity and found that it also mildly had that musty smell. I'm hoping with time that smell goes away because now my whole bedroom stinks. In the meantime I will search for a product that hopefully can clean and freshen the wood.As for that stool.... it may just end up in the garbage. All in all, The vanity is okay... It serves it's purpose. Would I buy it again? No. Would I recommend it? Probably not. If I could make my purchase again, knowing what I know now, I would probably keep looking and spend a little more money on something of better quality. As others have said, you get what you pay for.
