I originally chose this U-lock for a bicycle, but I ended up using it to secure the door on our outdoor shed, and it has worked extremely well. The lock feels very sturdy and well made. I also appreciate that the protective coating helps prevent scratches. Even though it’s marketed as a bike lock, I found it to be a versatile security lock that works well for other outdoor applications too. Great lock. Needed it for my scooter and never failed me once over 1 year of use. Couple of my friends had a wire lock and their scooters unfortunately got stolen. The lock is very durable, and it comfortably fit around my scooter with no struggle. Also, had to ship the lock across the country in the same box as the scooter and it did get banged up a bit with visible scratches but it didn't affect the durability at all! Ended up forgetting my key at times too, but luckily they give a backup key! Only concern would be that the key is annoying to use sometimes, but never bothered me in any significant way. Definitely recommend.

This lock saved my scooter from getting stolen! It was bent out of shape but never broke! It had to be cut off so I am ordering a replacement now! I highly recommend!

Very sturdy but a little awkward. Just takes some getting used to. The key unlocks both sides at once instead of a drop and pivot sort of thing like a padlock. So you have to make sure you’re holding the bar when you unlock it. I’m using it to secure a deck box to a rail post and I’m on the third floor so it would be dangerous if I dropped it so it’s a little awkward for my use but I like that the bar is thin enough to get through the D-ring on the box’s bracket.

These days, it's often about the keys; I don't know if any are able to put up much of a fight. Lockpickinglawyer is a popular inquiry (youtube). I owned two Kryptonite locks; keys with chiseled out rectangles at 90° length of key shank, last couple years. Both locks were picked multiple times, once they left bike in building, and took the lock. The previous Kryptonite key, (round) proved useless to an online order little tool, (about 10 seconds or something, same youtube, or a bic ball point pen ). Can any lock put up a decent fight? Are you concerned with the diameter of shackle? This u-lock does not have a thick shackle, but hardened steel, and make of serpentine key unseen, but I ordered with listed specs; intend to carry 2 U-locks. Stars given for standard rust free quality, specs at cost.

Its weight is significant, which is a positive aspect in terms of security but made it inconvenient to carry in a backpack. Instead, I opted to hang it on my bike during rides, avoiding additional weight on my back, which could affect my riding comfort and speed. Overall, this lock represents a good investment, particularly compared to cheaper alternatives I've used in the past, such as those from Dollarama. It offers a higher level of security and build quality, making it a valuable addition to my biking gear.

Practico y economico, funcional y seguro

For this price this is a great lock, I have been using it for a few years in the city and have had no thefts or issues with the lock. It is a bit heavy but this is to be expected for a metal lock.

Don't recommend this product at all, the holder broke after less than 5 uses and the quality of the lock doesn't seem great. Better to spend a bit more and get something decent.
