Product DescriptionColby Donaldson returns as host of Top Shot® Season 4 on HISTORY®. The skill level is extraordinarily high as competitors vie for a $100,000 prize package, bragging rights for the title of "Top Shot," and a professional shooting contract with Bass Pro Shops. Ranging in age from 21 to 50, the 18 competitors represent the widest scope of shooting backgrounds ever featured on the series. Sharpshooters include a 21-year-old world-champion pistol shooter and a hardworking high school custodian who makes his own ammunition and spends his spare time at the range. Some of the finest self-taught shooters in the country are also represented, including an IT specialist from California, a knife maker from Georgia, a chemist from Massachusetts, and a grass-fed cattle farmer from upstate New York. Fantastic competitive reality show!
I just started watching Top Shot beginning with Season 4, and my first time using Amazon Instant Video to watch them. Kudos to Amazon for getting the episodes up so quickly after airing, literally the day after, and in good quality. The contestants this season were phenomenally skilled, and the challenges unique and difficult. Top Shot was more interesting to watch than other competitive reality shows because there was less backstabbing and cattiness overall (even on the Blue team). Colby did a great job as enthusiastic host in his appropriately attired jeans and work boots. I'm glad this season had more exposure of the self-taught shooters. Loved watching the Red team's camaraderie- Chee Kwan, Gabby, Chris, Gary, and Kyle. Kyle was the glue that held the Red team together with his strategy and honesty. The only downside is that Top Shot may not be coming back for a Season 5, because it's allegedly too expensive to produce. No doubt those Milkor-MGLs are pricey! This is a great show to watch for non-shooters and shooters alike, to simply be awed by the raw talent and accuracy.

Great fun! Even if you don't like guns.
I was scornful about the previews on the History Chanel, but then I caught one of the last episodes, and I was addicted. This season has it all - the underdog, the blowhard, the leader, the comedian, in addition to great displays of sportsmanship, technical skill and amazing challenges. What I loved was the camaraderie, the zest for competition, and particularly the contestants' excitement for each weapon presented. Kyle's commentary reflects his keen intellect, and Colby Donaldson is a fine host. The Behind the Bullet episode was better edited than most reunion specials. I would absolutely recommend this season regardless of whether you like firearms simply because it is entertaining, and it makes weapons seem fascinating. My only criticism with the show is that if there is an uneven number on one team, the team that won the last challenge should get to select, who should be exempt for the upcoming challenge, otherwise, it gives the losing team an unfair advantage.

Cool weapons and competitions
A combo of marksmen competition and reality show. Although I find the format of Season 5 - The All Stars much better than the first four seasons, these seasons are still great to watch for the variety of weapons they have to master and compete with. Starting with 16 marksmen, it gets whittled down to a final 'Top Shot' by the end. From primitive weapons, to modern weapons, there is probably something you haven't seen or used yourself. The competitions themselves are innovative as well; some really turn the competitors on their heads. The 'House' drama aspect of the first four seasons is my only complaint about he show, but minor to me, since I watch for the competitions and weapons. If you like watching men and women shoot difficult targets, as well as some trick shots, and like seeing many different types of weapons, then I think you'll like these seasons.

No Drama
Not a bad season, no drama from the participants which was a first and a pleasant surprise. Wasn't a clear best shooter in my opinion, I liked the guys who made it to the end but in each of the previous seasons their had been someone who stood out more then the rest as the best shooter, whether or not they ended up winning. But all in all it was a good season.

One of the best shows on TV!
A far cry (althought at times, not too far) from the whiny reality shows out there, Top Shot is all the excitement of a thrilling competition, plus cool firearms that average Joes hardly ever see, plus a dose of artillery history and physics, and some explosions on top. This is one of those shows that you find yourself wanting to watch "just one more," way past your bedtime.

Fun for the whole family
We liked this season better than Season 3. There was less political maneuvering than in Season 3. The first half had political complications so sometimes a shooter would be sent to elimination for reasons other than shooting performance. This diminished as the season progressed and by the end the air was cleared and the performances were thoroughly enjoyable as well as surprising. It was also fun to watch a successful lady shooter (who behaved like a lady as well).

Better and better.
This show just gets better and better each season that it is on. For anybody who loves guns and shooting you can not go wrong watching this. The people who make the show have done an excellent job in choosing the contestants - unlike most reality style shows the people here are not irritating show boaters. They are professional and reflect all the qualities that can make the shooting community proud. The presentation of the firearms used - did I say grenade launchers - is interesting and the challenges in which they are used reflect historical use in conflict over time.Needless to say you can see I am a big fan. Anybody who loves "Sons of guns" or who is into three gun or the shooting sports I believe should watch this show. You might just discover a new favourite!
