Easy to open and close and the mattress (bought separately) doesn’t slide off. The bed came in two base parts and a headboard and was easy to put together. My headboard is lower than other customer pictures but I will see if I can move it up as right now you can’t see the headboard above the mattress and pillows! Arrived days earlier than expected but was given a days notice so it’s you can arrange to have someone home to receive the delivery. I did read the reviews before hand, as you really do need a heavy mattress to keep the bed down, but for me that wasn’t a problem as my mattress is really heavy. Firstly this bed easily compares with others being sold on high street at 2-3 times the price (I discovered there is a huge mark up when buying from retailer as opposed to manufacturer). The quality is great and so easy to put together (I'm female early 60’s and did not need any help) the only downside for me was the headboard screws - i went and bought others but would still give 5 stars overall - more if it was possible. Really pleased with purchase.
