Our dog was eating her food too fast so the vet recommended this particular bowl to us. It has been amazing and she is eating her food much slower now. If asked I would certainly recommend this dish highly as it does what it says on the tin. Thank you.

Sturdy and solid, weighty plastic material with grippy base doesn't slip about too much in use. For our black lab who used to gulp food so fast she occasionally brought it straight back then ate it again - half was often gone before the bowl hit the floor.In an open bowl she would eat approx. a mug full of slightly moist 'dry' food in 15 - 20 seconds. Now it takes her 3 minutes and she is at it non stop. We like to think she now enjoys her food more as she is eating if for longer and probably has time to taste it.Its a bit fiddly to clean by hand due to the shape but after all that is the point of it.Highly recommended for problem fast eaters.

Works great at slowing down our dog eating too fast. But ia quiet deep so maybe not suitable for small dogs. Our pugs struggles sometimes.

We puppy sit for our granddaughter who has a 5 month collie. This dish slows her eating down and she has to search around and find a way into some of the tighter patterns. She eats everything but it seems fun and makes her take more time.

This bowl has certainly slowed my JRT down. Since getting our rescue dog she has gulped her food down like there's no tomorrow. I timed her yesterday, took her 12 mins 30 secs to finish her tea. Thoroughly reommend this bowl.

This bowl seems sturdy and well made. I had high hopes of using it to help slow down my 11-week-old lab puppy, who tends to guzzle her food in about 10 seconds flat. I thought that as a puppy, her muzzle would easily fit in the gaps and she wouldn't have too much trouble getting kibble out. But she appears to be completely unable to reach and grasp the kibble as it slides around in the bowl. I think perhaps her muzzle isn't long enough. She finds it pretty frustrating, even with a lot of help from me. She now tends to focus her effort on trying to grab the bowl and tip it over. Maybe it will work better when she's older, but for now I'm giving up on it.

I got this for my 1 year french bulldog who basically doesn’t even bother to chew his food and simply gobbles it, which ends up in him either choking or getting really bad gas!We tried a couple of different one historically however as he is a ‘flat faced’ dog he either struggled to pick up the food and got frustrated so tipped the entire thing or else the slow feeder helped but not dramaticallyThis one however is absolutely AMAZING! It takes him 3 times the amount of time to finish his food as it did before and he can actually reach it well without getting annoyed!Honestly don’t bother with other cheaper versions, spend the little bit more and get this one (purple one specifically if you also have a flat faced dog like mine)

We have a 10 lb. Brussels Griffon/Pug mix--aka "Brug" puppy who inhales food like she's never eaten in her life. (This originally caused her stomach upset, reflux, gas, regurgitation.) First we tried using our other dog's (Chihuahua/Pekingese) green spiral bowl by the same brand to slow her down, but it was so narrow that there were sections her little flat face simply couldn't reach. Attempting to find the perfect fit, after my rabbit hole research of trying several other brands (including a ceramic one that broke)--this insanely affordable purple flower bowl was the clear winner. The first time we gave it to her she was scared of it, ran away and refused to eat out of it for 15 minutes. When she realized there was no turning back, she figured it out and now she loves it. The puzzle of it really makes her work and slows her down, which is not only good for digestion, but for the brain. (All previous digestive issues are now gone.) It's complex enough to still slow her pace (they learn to work, use their tongue to get the trickier parts) but the flower-shaped openings/spaces are more easily accessible for her flat, sniffly muzzle. It's a sturdy, solid (can't flip it or chew it), resilient, easy to pop in the dishwasher, long-lasting product, as we've had our other one for 7 years and it's still going strong. Highly recommend this great bowl for brachycephalic breeds and ravenous puppies.

Mi perro está en dieta y como le restringí la cantidad de alimento al final se la pasaba chillando porque quería más cantidad...además de colmo, se comía todo muy rápido. Om dina hundar slänger i sig maten, är denna perfekt. Ger dom lite mer att jobba med och de äter maten långsammare. Är din hund alldeles för smart, så finns dock risken att de vänder upp-och-ner på skålen, vilket min hund gjort några gånger.

Works. My Doberman pup takes at least 10-15 mins now compared to a minute earlier...
