Overall, very satisfied. Glad I purchased
My pup is just over 1 year old. She can get very distracted on walks and had started pulling me too much with her old "traditional" harness/leash. I looked through a lot of reviews and options before choosing this one. I have no big complaints and I am satisfied with it.You do need to take some time to fit it correctly, which took a lot of putting it on/taking it off until I felt like it fit right. If your dog has issues with things going over their head, then this isn't for you, but my dog adjusted fine. She's shown no signs of discomfort since we started using it. Even when we go to the dog park and I let her off leash to play, I leave the harness on and she's fine.I do feel like I have a lot more control over her with this product. The leash is shorter and it's nice to not have to wrap a leash around my hand a million times. My dog is very strong, but even when a squirrel surprises us by running by, I've been able to control her well with this. My only slight disappointment was that I had thought with the front attachment that it was supposed to kind of pull her around more if she started pulling too hard (like a built-in deterrent from pulling) and it does not. She can't pull AS hard because of the design, and I have better control of her so she doesn't go very far, but it doesn't do quite what I had thought it would.I will say that this has helped me to enjoy our walks again. I had gotten to a point that I was dreading our walks because I spent so much time fighting her. This has helped our walks to be much more calm and relaxed again.

My rotator cuff feels better already
I have two strong, energy-packed 55-lb boxer mix dogs and walks were pretty stressful. They behave pretty well most of the time; but Boris, the younger, stronger one, pulls quite a lot and I had them on a single lead with a leash-splitter, so when he pulled, Ruby got pulled along as well. Nobody was very happy with this arrangement. The biggest and most immediate problem was that they had decided that cars or trucks with trailers on them represented terrible, menacing evil, and they would lunge towards the street together, yanking my shoulder out of its socket in the process. Then I'd have to yank back to keep them out of harm's way and - unable to address the danger of the lawnmower-laden trailer, they would attack each other. And there I'd be, trying to pull them apart - often while holding a bag or two of dog poop. City trucks and cars with inadequate mufflers are similarly evil and must be chased and barked at, as is the adorable pug a couple of blocks over. However I hold out hope that they can be trained out of this, if I can just manage to hold onto them and address it before they attack each other.(Incidentally, we successfully addressed a very similar school bus issue with the help of a kind bus driver who let us get on the bus and determine that the children were safe (or whatever it was that was bothering the dogs), and now school buses get no more than a second glance.)Enter the Freedom No-Pull Dog Harness & Leash combo. I got one for Boris and I'm about to order another for Ruby. It's not magic - you still have to work with the dogs to improve their leash-walking skills, but the dual attachment helps a ton for training (and I've rigged a similar arrangement for Ruby in the meantime with an old harness and her collar and two leashes - not great but it helps to have them both responding to the same cues. You can hold the dogs back via the top loop of the harness while re-directing their attention from the front. I've tried so many other harnesses, halters, pinch collars, and even choke-type training collars for our walks. This one is by far the most effective. It's also the easiest harness to get into and out of, and the dogs don't seem to mind wearing it; they are very cooperative when I put it on. It's also very attractive, and if you do have to rassle them in line now and then you are not doing so by choking them, which is better for everyone.

She was so comfortable with the harness at that point that she did ...
I used this with my "difficult" dog that just recently learned how to walk on a leash, She was a puller. I introduced the harness to her as a "necklace" and used the method of providing treats through the harness as she got familiar with it. After 3 days of feeding her treats through the harness, I actually put it on her neck. Again, just took it off after a minute or two. The next time I put the harness over her head, I actually clipped the under-the-leg pieces. She was so comfortable with the harness at that point that she did not resist at all. When we started walking, she was a little hesitant, pulled just a bit, but a slight tug on the chest leash brought her right to my side. Within about 5 minutes, she was walking comfortably alongside me on a loose leash. Every once in a while, I would have to tug gently on either her back or chest-leash connection; she was responsive to both.I also work with a shelter. One of the dogs would not walk on a leash, actually ate a leash. As soon a leash was put on him, he chewed it. This dog is not a hand-held treat eater, so I was unable to introduce the harness with treats. I just put the harness on him (also had to adjust it down to his size, which he tolerated very well). After adjustment, I clipped the two leashes on the harness. He immediately tried to chew the leash, but it was easy to refocus him since I could tug at his back. I took him to a park (leash off while transporting, he did not try to chew the harness) and after about 5 minutes he was walking by my side like a pro. This harness worked wonders with both of these dogs. The harness that I used for the shelter dog was a little too big, so I have ordered another two harnesses, different sizes.
