As with the other reviews of this product, my opinion is mixed - it's a better tool than the universal spring compressor but why in the world this company doesn't modify the design totally escapes me.I recommend you go ahead and order it but prepare for lots of grinding away material (to make relief cuts) so you'll be able to use the compressor with the head in place. I used this compressor to replace the spring retainers on my AP1 (intake side only) and it did the job nicely (once I could get it into place on the head). If I had it to do over again, I think the "perfect tool" would have been the one the Speed Academy guys used (cantilever type that sort of requires 2 people to do the job). But, again, this product worked perfectly once I spent an hour basically destroying it.

Almost Perfect
It would be perfect if it didn't have to be modified for on engine cylinder head work. You will need to grind out some pretty large areas if you plan on changing valve springs with the head still in place.

Works great
Used on my S2000, worked great. Put some grease on the bolt threads for smooth operation.

Does not work on S2000 cylinder head if intake manifold is still attached. Has reliefs but they are not properly designed to clear the manifold. Useless if you are trying to change valve keepers with head and manifold on engine. Had to cut bigger reliefs on a milling machine to make this work, ridiculous for the price they are charging.

Much better than the alternative tools on the market
As another reviewer has mentioned this tool has to be modified to fit around the intake manifold runners if the intake manifold is attached to the car. If you have an angle grinder or a dremel it won't be much of an issue. Additionally, it can be difficult to fit this onto the intake side of cylinder #4 due to a bracket for the wiring harness. I don't think this tool was designed to be used with the cylinder head inside the engine bay.Once the tool is modified it works splendidly and makes a valve stem seal or valve retainer swap a breeze. The included magnetic screwdriver is also really helpful for finding lost valve retainer keepers. Much better than the alternative tools on the market.
