UAG Folio iPad Mini 4 Retina Feather Light Rugged [Midnight] Military Drop Tested iPad Case

I absolutely love this iPad case, it's my second one after the first wore out after 2 years of 24/7 use (literally). It's the most sturdy, well built, handy and comfortable to use case that I've ever owned in 12 years of having different models of iPads with different cases for each. I'm a butterfingers and drop my iPad quite often. I am also mostly bedridden so I use my iPad constantly for entertainment & even while.i sleep with headphones to listen to nature sounds. Believe me, this is the case you want because it will protect your iPad extremely well, stand up to being used for years before needing replacement & it fits absolutely perfect for this model. It's not too heavy but is heavy duty, worth every penny, performs exactly as described and I like the plain black color. Yes, having other colors available would be great but black or grey are my go to if theres not something like bright blue, purple, or green. But no matter, the way this case performs is what really matters and it's absolutely amazing.

We picked up a new iPad Mini 4 for our 7 year old for Christmas and was looking for the perfect case. This is it. It's got a great feel to it and provides a good level of protection (with a screen protector added) to ensure the device does not get scratched up. I don't believe in those big rubber preschool toy looking things that I see out there for a 7 year old as I would rather give him something like this and teach him responsibility and taking care of his stuff.The case fits snug and has a rubbery consistency so easy to remove and put back on if needed. The magnetic closure is perfect to ensure it seals close when the screen cover is flipped back over. The color on it is great - we bought the red. The rubbery texture makes it easy to grip for him and not slide out of hand.The other case we bought for comparison was the Speck Stylefolio. Until I saw the UAG case, the Speck was my favorite but now seeing the UAG, it's a better feel and better protection. Additionally, with the hard plastic on the Speck, its very tough to get device in and out if needed without feeling like you are going to break the device. Plus this is a $50 case from UAG so to grab for $35 on Amazon; same price as the Speck; it's a steal.

I had an HTC One with UAG case which was great and after looking at other cases for my new iPad mini 4 I decided to splurge and get this case in red.This case is very slick looking but the first thing you notice is the feel. Similar to rookies optigon texture, this rubbery outer cover feels great with very good grip all around. The magnetic cover is also excellent in securing it when closed.The best thing about this is the protection in coverage. I have other cases for my previous iPad mini with the folded cover and I didn't realize until I bought this cover that the UAG covers all around including the bevels on the side which is awesome. Other folio cases will not cover the beveled edges of the iPad resulting in scratches no matter how careful you are. Also none of the ports or buttons are exposed and offers great protection.I have a glass cover on the iPad and i does not interfere with this cover. This is highly recommended and I am sure other color options will look great too. Definitely want to cover my iPhone 6 and iPad air with a UAG cases if I get a chance to switch out!

I like UAG cases very much. My first UAG case was the folio case for my iPad Pro 9.7. Both cases are extremely rugged, well-built and seem to do exactly what they claim to do which is to offer substantial protection against drops. The only reason I deducted one star from my review was due to a feature that the 9.7 case had that the iPad Mini 4 case did not: a removable cover. I had assumed that the smaller case would be the same in every way, but the cover cannot be removed on the smaller iPad. Because I use my iPad for ForeFlight, I had hoped to be able to remove the cover so that it fits my yoke mount more securely, but in this case the cover is sewn on. (On the 9.7 it snaps into two slots on the back of the case.)It's a great case, and the smaller case is the "Mini Me" to the bigger one in every way but that removable cover. I don't know if the case could have been engineered to allow for a removable cover, but since the UAG case is a premium product I expected a little more for $34. If you don't have the need to remove the cover as I do, you'll probably love the case.

Had a UAG cover for 5 years for my iPad mini, which I loved. it finally wore out, so I purchased a quirky national flag cover from another manufacturer - which was a mistake, as it lasted 4 months. just got this for 25% more than the cheap garbage which will last my mini till its completely obsolete. its protective, closes flat and with a positive magnetic close and catch, it folds to stand on the OUTSIDE surface of the screen cover, which is important to not pickup grit that then could transfer to scratch the screen as those that fold the inner surface out.Just a quality product, period.

I actually returned this because I decided I didnt want the folio type case. I like to preview who's calling or texts without having to pick up and open the cover. BUT that was the only reason I returned, otherwise I think this would be a great case! It seemed like it would protect well and the magnetic closure was very strong. I think it would be a great, long lasting case. The blue color is great as well. I am a female, love navy blue and this was a gorgeous color. A soft navy, almost a little smokey. Loved the case! May order it in the non folio style. Looking for something very strong, my 15 month old son seems to find my phone no matter where I hide it
