The Schubert Connection

There was no review for this blu-ray, but hey, it is from 2L so it has to be great sounding, right? That is what I thought when I ordered it.I LOVE 2L recordings. But not this one.This is just a preliminary report, as I can't believe it, I will go back and listen to the SACD disc that came with the blu-ray, but on the BR disc, the upper (treble) is harsh, has a glare that I have never heard with 2L recordings. I could not enjoy listening further, though on a short listen the Greig sounded better than the Shubert.I will report back IF the SACD is more listenable.Added: After listening to the SACD I have to say give this one a pass. It too is sharp sounding, not all of it just the highs at volume, but there are a LOT of them and it does not sound natural at all, not satisfying, sounds just like the old, early DDD recordings with digital glare.I wish it sounded much better because it is a good performance, and I know they put a lot of work in the recording, but something has gone wrong in the mastering IMHO.

A great performance, impressive sound.

On my system, this sounded fantastic: warm and vibrant. I have not lustened to the SACD yet, as the Blu-ray us superb.

とても素晴らしい演奏と録音です。SACDの方しか聴いていませんが（我が家には残念ながら今のところはBDオーディオを聴くことができる装置がありません）各楽器の音の自然さ、SN感など申し分ないと思います。A級録音。

sacdの音質はとても高く、拡がり・厚みとも満足なのですが、第1楽章の始まり20秒あたりを皮切りにいわゆる「音飛び」が全編に渡って随所にみられます。今時、珍しいくらいひどいものです。落ち着いて聴くにはあまりにも稚拙な盤ではないでしょうか。
