check batteries on both parts
UPDATE I had only checked the batteries in the remote, realized the white holder with the lights also had 2 batteries that needed to be replaced. That is why the added a mini screw driver. Just wish the batteries lasted longer.beautiful at first. Then after one week it no longer works. I had thought I needed to replace the battery in the remote, glad I didn't. Had two more that I didn't use and decided to check them by pulling the tab on the light part. We shall see how long these last. Even though these are not expensive, you want them to work more than a week and don't want to waste your money.

cute but not worth the price
I got these to put in old-fashioned oil lanterns we have hanging in our half bath. They work out well & I like the look, the problem is that the remote will turn them on but not off so I have to have the control section hanging out of the back of the lantern. It's not a big deal, but I got twinkle lights specifically with a remote so I wouldn't have to do that. I also discovered today, when I went in to take a pic for this review, (that wouldn't upload) that the batteries are dead already & wouldn't turn on. They have only been on once, for a few hours on Thanksgiving evening, (when I discovered the remote wouldn't work) & now they won't turn on at all. So I swapped them out for another strand but it seems to me that something like this should have batteries that last longer than a few hours.UPDATE: so it’s now mid January 2023 & none of the lights are working. We were having company the other evening & I wanted to light them, they haven’t been turned on since Thanksgiving when I swapped them out & guess what? They don’t work. I have fairy lights from literally 9 years ago in a big vase with wine corks (no remote) that still work. I used to string them around the bottles on our bar & they’d be on for hours (sometimes overnight) nearly every day….and they STILL work w/no battery change.Super disappointed.

Pretty Lights
I really like these lights because they are easy to use. I took off 1 star because one of the six lights doesn’t work.

Not what I expected. Brightness is not as bright as I assumed. The remote control works great,
Disliked the brightness. Bulbs are smaller and the brightness is dimmed. Battery life is okay for 3 weeks.

5 of 6 died
I really liked this product at first.. then they stopped working. I didn't leave the lights on constantly and I rarely turned them on.. but for some reason 5 of the 6 stopped working. I can't turn them on with the remote and I can't turn them on with the button hooked to it. The only one that still works I technically just used for the first time today as I was decorating for Christmas(see pic).. I took it out of its plastic wrap and it worked. We shall see how long it works for though. Very disappointed overall. I thought I found the holy grail with a light set that comes with a remote control.

Very pretty but battery life is way too short
Very pretty and I love all the settings. the battery lasts no time at all so I will prob trash the rest of them once the included batteries die.

Good on theory
These are good in theory but there are issues. As people have e mentioned, the batteries don't hardly last for a few days. I just bought name brand batteries to see if they last any longer.Secondly, after the lights have been on a couple hours, the remote does not work (the IR receiver may overheat?) and you have to turn the lights off using the button on the battery pack.If I paid a few dollars you say chalk it up to what you paid for but these were not cheap (in price).Stay away and save your money.--‐---------------------------------So my update is that I added brand new batteries and turned on the lights for a few minutes and turned them off. I just went to turn them on again (about three weeks later) and the batteries are dead. STAY AWAY from these.
