6.5-Inch Speaker Adapter Bracket Ring, Black

I purchased these Black, Plastic Speaker Adapter Ring Brackets to use Skar Audio - RPX65 6 1/2" 2-Way 4-Ohm Speakers in the front doors of my 2004 Nissan - Sentra 1.8S Car. I used speaker gasket tape & sealed the speaker to the mounting rings for a good seal. The speakers lined right up & so did the three holes on the adapter rings brackets for a perfect fit. These are very good quality unlike other brands sold here on Amazon & are well worth the low cost. I am happy with my purchase & I recommend this product to anyone with a 2004 Nissan - Sentra 1.8S Car.

The front door speakers in my 2002 Nissan Xterra (built in 2001) were factory molded to extend out from the door a couple inches. On some earlier Xterras and Frontiers, this extension - or "spacer ring" - was separate from the speaker and could be reused with after-market 6.5-inch speakers. My setup had the spacer ring and speaker as one piece. Naively, I had given away those stock speakers before realizing I needed the extra space and adapter; some DIYers had cut out the speaker and reused the ring. This Adapter Bracket Ring worked perfectly for my vehicle. It allows the speakers to be mounted out from the door so that 1) the magnets do not interfere with - or sit close to - the door glass when rolled down; and 2) the speakers sit closer to the door panel's speaker grill allowing for better sound projection. Note that the top surface of the adapter/spacer ring is solid. This requires an extra step or two with install but accommodates variances in mounting screw locations of the after-market speaker. Overall, this is much better than the flat adapter rings commonly found at most electronics retailers.

Very simple light plastic spacer and adapter for most nissan front door speakers that use 6.5” speakers and mounted with 3 screws to door panel. The adapter looks like you can use 5.25” spkrs too with smaller holes on the inside of the adapter as well as on the ring for 6.5” spkrs. Its not going to give large depth speakers enough room to clear windows so get slim speakers for the door. Otherwise simple to screw on new speakers as small pilot holes are there already. Works well for my 350z.

2016 Nissan Versa SV - Did not fit perfectly, two holes aligned. I had to drill one just below the third one for it to fit. No big deal, used a 7/32 drill bit and the bolt fit perfectly. On the back side of the bracket, below the hole, there is a an circle outline. This coincidentally aligned perfectly with the one on the door. Seeing as there not many brackets out there yet that seem to fit my car perfectly, this did the job great with slight modification. Glad I took the chance since my car was not on the list as being compatible.

These bolted on perfect for the rear door speaker positions in my 2014 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab. I was however installing slightly oversized 6.5" midbass speakers, so I had to enlarge the opening slightly. The rings are pretty stiff and thick, and compared to the OEM speaker position, these rings give you a little more depth to fit larger (deeper) speakers. I give them 4 stars because I did notice that the inner flange is not 90 degrees... it has a slight cone shape, so if your speaker baskets are 6.5" squared, they might not drop all the way into these adaptors without trimming. Also, do yourself a favor and don't just try to use self-tapping screws when you're installing your speakers... use a drill and drill some pilot holes for the screws first, to avoid cracking them as they are made of stiff plastic.

I ran into a couple things that in my opinion could have been better. The basket on the speakers I installed were not a perfect match for the adapters. I few minutes with a file fixed that part. These were manufactureed with a sharp edge, could have been rounded in the mould, but why make it easy. The speakers coming out used foam between the speakers and the metal of the car door. This product is hard plastic, so I had to improvise. Got some adhesive backed rubber foam at home depot - problem solved. Last - to accommodate the wiring I had to drill a hold through the side. Your application may be different, but in my car the wire harness connects on the cabin side, not inside the door. 3/8" drill bit fixed this. With this done the self tapping screws (included) worked fine to mount the speakers to the adapters. The original hardware attached these to the door and this part of the job was complete. Daughter is happy!

Used to install Precision Power P.65C3 6.5" 3-Way in a 2013 Volvo XC60. Some small modifications required to accommodate the basket on the 6.5 drivers. That was expected. Great product!
