Solved my engine rattle, good price.
Chinese made but still solid and sold at a great price. Previous tensioner on my 2004 Ford Explorer V6 was shaking and moving around a bit too much which prompted me to believe the old part was bad. The old tensioner was also making a rattling noise which sounded similar to an open or leaky exhaust from some distance away during cold operation. Replacement with the new part stabilized the belt and removed the noise from the engine bay. Install is very straight forward but I will note that it does not come with a replacement bolt so do not throw the old one away or destroy it. The old tensioner was shot upon further investigation by the way. After a month of driving the part seems to be holding up well.

Fit Perfectly and seems to work
Ordered it and received it the next day. It fit perfectly. It bounces around more than the old one, but the old one's bearings were stiff, and I was afraid the bearing would have locked up at a bad time. Seems like the belt squeaks more than it used to, but it may be an alignment issue.

Bearings have excessive play
My tensioner had excessive play in the pulley! Be sure to check your pulley before installing. I had to use my old pulley, the new pulley is not machined correctly!!!!

Perfect replacement for my old tensioner
UPDATE 01/11/2024: I updated my review to 3 stars, but only because I was finally able to get in touch with Dorman, who eventually got me in touch with RPS Marketing to fill out a warranty form. The next day a replacement tensioner was on it's way to me. I'm leaving 2 stars off because there is absolutely no reason for a brand new tensioner to have failed. Once it's warm enough in the garage, I'll install the replacement and will update this review again if there are any issues afterwards.UPDATE 12/21/2023: Well, it's now 19 days outside the return window and the tensioner has started chirping just like my old one did. I've driven 500 miles AT BEST, so it's really surprising that it could be failing already. Needless to say, I've lowered my rating and will be shopping for another brand of tensioner. The bearing in the original tensioner started making noise last week. Since I do a LOT of back road driving, I knew I needed to get it replaced before it potentially seized up. Sure, replacement pulleys that have new bearings can be purchased, but since my beater 02 Explorer has 135k on it, I figured as long as I am doing the work, it'd be better to replace the tensioner assembly instead. While this one isn't built quite like the OE one, it fit perfectly in place and maintains proper tension on the belt.
