I’ve worked on small electronics before, so this swap wasn’t too difficult for me. I thought this was pretty easy especially with their YouTube video. The final product is very good. The soft feel is very nice and they look great.One issue I had was with the trigger buttons, but that’s mainly from the design of the controller. I kept losing the springs because they kept popping out easily. I also had to take the controller apart again because the replacement spring wasn’t strong enough, and the trigger button was floppy and loose. I had to take it apart and stretch the springs and now it is perfect. The included tools and replacement parts were perfect for this. I wish they had some kind of adhesive for the batteries. The original tape didn’t stick back to the battery, and it was flopping around inside the joycon. I just stuck some folded paper in there to hold it in place and now it doesn’t flop/rattle.I’ll probably be getting the rear shell as well to complete the look of my switch. Overall very satisfied with this product!

The quality of the Joy-Con shells seem better then the original. I will recommend to watch multiple videos on how to swap Joy-Con shells before attempting to do this, if possible use your own screwdrivers PH00 and Y0 the ones included can strip the screws. Take your time and keep track of all the screws and don't forget to disengage the locking tab before disconnecting the ribbon cables. It seems a lot of people are running into problems swapping the SL and SR buttons but I had no issues and they fit perfectly. It took me and hour to do both Joy-Cons and I am happy with the results

So my controllers had a drifting issue. My son found the parts we needed and also new cases. I absolutely loved the pattern on this case. Once it arrived I was even more in love. The photo absolutely doesn’t do them justice. They are well made. Once he had them together and I used them it was as if I was using the original controllers. I’ve had them for about a week now and they have been great.

i have a lot of time with this installed already. And the color and material its still as new. Very recommended.

Pros: Looks way nicer than the original red/blue color combo. Brings back a bit of nostalgia as well. Back plate color matched up pretty well with my sheikah slate skin, so that was a plus. After installation, everything seems to work well, buttons, joystick, etc. I’ll assess durability at a later time.Cons: Components are tiny, which is to be expected. Definitely requires dexterity in your hands and fingers in order to move the tiny pieces around. No instructions included in box, but there are a lot of Youtube vids that show you step by step how to disassemble and reassemble. I would look at those first, before deciding if you’re up for the challenge. The set I received had a small flaw in one of the holes. It was too wide to securely attach a screw, so I had to improvise. Hopefully it will hold up long term.

You get everything you need, including two extra joy sticks. These controllers are small but have tons of cables and screws. The only issue I had was that the trigger button appears to be glued to the tray. I was worried about breaking it so I just used the old tray. So where there should be a black tray its the old joy con color. Its just a strip but I thought I would mention it. The rest of the install worked fine and the controllers look great.

These are super cool retro takes me back kinda feel. paint and color match is spot on. texture makes your mind (???), it has a rubberish feel to it. over all a great product, the only thing to make it better would be an easier transfer of the guts but not y'alls fault.BUT what is your fault was the 5 minutes of sweeping with my floor magnet when i opened the box laying flat above the counter and about 10 to 20 screws spilled all over (those things are tiny). the plastic bags inside had given up and all the screws, springs, and bits were Free floating inside the box. I'm still not sure if i got them all up. LOLPlease look into this for future customers sanity.Over all Awesome product, frustrating packaging, durability we will see

Excelente calidad, hasta podría decir que casi igual a una carcasa original, ojo, no trae los botones SR y SL por lo que le tuve que poner los que ya tenía y como eran rojo y azul, así quedaron como se ve en la foto, pero hay unos que si traen esos botones, la instalación no es difícil, con un vídeo en YouTube lo pueden cambiar ustedes mismos y ahorrarse unos 400 pesos en qué alguien más se los cambie ( era lo que me cobraban a mi) yo aproveche el me cambio y le puse nuevo los stick y también los rieles de una vez para que quedaran como nuevos.

I wanted to replace the joysticks with the GuliKit Hall set, and thought I'd jazz up the joycons while I was at it to match my 8BitDo controller.Easy assembly following instructions and a YouTube video. Adequate tools provided with the kit, including 2x screwdrivers and pry tools. Word of warning: beware of the exterior joycon 'triangle screws' which strip easily.Happy with finished product and the SNES aesthetic; I would definitely purchase again if any of my other joycons need a glow up.

Me tomo varias horas, pero por hacerlo con mucho cuidado y la verdad es que me entretuve mucho porque me gusta esto de armar y desarmar aunque no tengo conocimientos profesionales de eso. Considero que las instrucciones vienen muy bien y me encantó como quedó :)!!!!

Avevo voglia di personalizzare la mia Nintendo Switch con qualcosa di diverso, ho scelto la versione marmo rosa e ne sono davvero entusiasta. Sperando di far cosa gradita a chi vorrebbe vedere come si presenta il colore nella realtà allego qualche foto alla mia recensione, al momento dell'acquisto mi avrebbero davvero fatto comodo. Non possiedo le classiche monocolore di eXtremeRate ma da quanto ho capito presentano un finish opaco e quasi con più "grip" rispetto alle originali, queste invece sono l'opposto, lucide e lisce, eccezion fatta per la parte glitterata oro leggermente in rilievo.La confezione ricevuta possedeva davvero tutto il necessario, cacciaviti, molle, viti e pulsanti di ricambio di cui non ho quasi praticamente nemmeno usufruito (con un pò di attenzione e cura si riesce a non perdere/danneggiare nulla e il materiale originale combacia benissimo con la skin sostitutiva), ho soltanto sostituito le viti originali di chiusura delle shell a y con quelle in dotazione + per comodità mia (nella foto da me caricata infatti mancano 8 viti + nere) in quanto le trovo più gestibili, anche in previsione di una seconda riapertura. Ho utilizzato un paio di pinzette per esser più precisa nelle operazioni e avevo poi già in casa un set di cacciaviti di qualità ma non ho mai avuto reale necessità di utilizzarlo, devo ammettere che non ho riscontrato tutti i problemi che tanti palesano con i cacciaviti forniti in dotazione ma ho anche notato che il mio risultava leggermente diverso da quelli che ho visto fotografati nelle varie recensioni straniere, magari il kit è stato aggiornato?Di fatto l'operazione richiede tempo, se non lo avete mai fatto un buon video tutorial a supporto e un minimo di manualità. Sono già avvezza a questi piccoli lavoretti che mi faccio da sola per passione ma penso che con un pò di delicatezza e attenzione chiunque possa cavarsela. Due, se vogliamo, le parti più fastidiose dell'intera operazione, lo sgancio e soprattutto il riaggancio di ZR/ZL in quanto bisogna far combaciare le due molle di ognuno con la sede corretta e contemporaneamente applicare la giusta pressione per farli scattare in posizione e il reinserimento dei cavi flessibili nelle molette che li tengono fermi. Serve solo tanta pazienza, un pò di ore da dedicare all'operazione e una mano abbastanza delicata. Mi aspettavo davvero una procedura estremamente complessa e di rompere inavvertitamente qualcosa ma credetemi, così non è, forse ci ho messo anche più tempo del dovuto ma tutto è andato per il verso giusto, tutto nei joycon funziona a meraviglia e il feed che riscontro dai pulsanti è davvero perfetto, pari all'originale.Posso solo che raccomandare l'acquisto di questo kit, io lo rifarei e probabilmente in futuro, una volta stancata di questo colore acquisterò altro. Come consiglio invece all'azienda che lo produce proporrei di lasciare anche spazio alla personalizzazione di ogni singolo joycon, magari rendendo possibile l'acquistare il destro di un colore e il sinistro di un altro. Gestionalmente so che non è così semplice come a dirsi ma anche dovendo pagare qualcosina in più sono sicura che sarebbe cosa gradita a molti.
