Amazing Quality – Gentle, Effective, and Beautifully Made
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered this brush, but I’m so glad I gave it a try. The IKEMOTO Seduce Hair Care Brush is beautifully crafted and feels very high-end. It glides effortlessly through my hair, detangling without pulling or causing breakage—even on dry hair or after washing. The bristles are firm but gentle, giving a nice scalp massage while distributing natural oils for a smoother, shinier finish. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and stylish enough to leave out on a vanity.I can see why this is a popular choice in Japan—it lives up to the quality and care you’d expect. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a durable, effective brush that treats your hair gently and helps maintain its health and shine

The best hairbrush for almost every hair types
When I was stationed in Japan a Japanese family gifted it to me back in 2012. When I got back I looked it up on the internet and to my surprise Walmart and Amazon sells them. I bought dozens of these Japanese hair brush for over a decade and put them in gift bags during Christmas and birthdays. Everyone loves this hair brush. I gave it a five star.

Good but could be bigger
The big thing that I like about this brush are the bristles. Very light weight as well. Very easy to clean your hair out of the brush as well. I have long hair but it’s thin and I have a lot of it, the one thing that does bug me is my hair is very staticky after you wash your hair. My hair does good when it’s been about a day or two. With having long hair, I do wish the brush was bigger. But it does good with getting tangles out after going over them about two times.

It’s a great brush but I do wish it was larger for thicker hair.
I honestly didn’t think this brush would be anything special but I was wrong. Firstly, I should say I have extremely thick and dense hair. No really, picture the average persons hair and multiply by four. Secondly, add to that I have caucasian 2C sorta wavy and straight texture that’s both coarse and smooth, tangles with extreme prejudice and has no problem turning into a poofy mess just because it wants to. In other words my hair is shall we say difficult (and that’s being nice). So hence this brush. The bristles look like nothing special but I swear they are magic. They glide through the hair with minimal pulling of knots (pretty sure a normal amount of hair would not have this problem) while having both flexibility and strength. The bristles feel great on the scalp and distribute the natural oil your scalp produces extremely well. And though there is no claim that it smooths hair it does just that for my hair texture. I have not used this in the shower but I do use it to detangle afterwards and use it to brush my hair while air drying and normal everyday brushing. I’ve never had a brush work so well for my unruly mane without pulling and ripping out my hair but this brush accomplishes that and manages to feel great on my scalp while doing it.I should also mention prior to purchasing I read some reviews that said they had a hard time cleaning this brush but I haven’t had that problem. After each use I remove any hair in the brush and rinse with water. Once a week I disinfect it with a water/bleach mixture and haven’t had any problems. I do not use hair oil but rather a leave in conditioner and this brush has held up perfectly. So for me it has been durable and the bristles maintain their shape and no bristles have fallen out. If something happened to it I would 100% buy another eagerly. The are only a couple of negatives about this brush. It’ quite smaller than the normal paddle brushes I am used to, but that also makes it extremely travel friendly and this brush would fit well in a medium size or larger purse, handbag, or toiletry kit. And because of the length, thickness, density and texture of my hair I have to brush it in three different sections using a claw clip to separate my hair by the bottom, middle, and top layers. I could not just simply brush through my entire hair because the bristles simply cannot go through the density of my hair. The average person would have no problem brushing through their hair though so don’t let my experience deter you. My nephew has short extremely dense thick hair and I bought one for him and he loves it as well.I can honestly say that while I do wish the brush was larger or that they offered a brush specifically for thicker hair I am extremely satisfied with this brush and do not plan on using any other for detangling and brushing. Plus, the price for this brush is great because I would pay significantly more for it but I am happy I don’t have to.

This is the way to go instead of the "pretty ❤ scalp brush"
I wanted to wait a few weeks to post this review after comparing this IKEMOTO brush to the S-Heart Scalp brush, which I'm now embarrassed to say, I bought a year ago for FAR too much money....MORE than any hair brush should cost, and it was on sale at the time....I guess you could say, I fell for all the hype that it's 'the best hairbrush everrrrrr'. Do you remember the story of 'The Emperor's New Clothes'? Well, the S-Heart-S scalp brush is the Emperor's new clothes, and I'm the little kid who shouts 'the emperor is naked!'I have waist-long, fine, straight hair that is low-maintenance....I wash it, condition it, and air-dry.Aside from about eight years in the 90s when I had shoulder length hair, my hair has always been very long so I'm often trying different types & brands of brushes, with none costing more than about twelve dollars, that weren't too harsh on my scalp or hair.In 2019, I started hearing about the 'fabulous' S-Heart Scalp Brush in reviews and in YT videos. People raved about it, so I waited for it to go on sale, about ten dollars off here-I took the plunge and pathetically awaited its arrival.I REALLY wanted to be impressed by the S-Heart Scalp Brush, but as the weeks and months went on, I SO regretted spending so much money on a relatively basic hair brush. Then, in early July (2020), Amazon showed some recommended products based on my past purchases, and the IKEMOTO SEN-705-BL Seduce Hair Care Brush (L)From Japan was one of those products for 1/6 the cost of the S-Heart Scalp Brush so I decided to try it. I figured, what the heck, if it's awful, I can use it on our cats! 😁😺Well, this IKEMOTO brush is just as good, or as 'normal', as the S-Heart Scalp Brush. Aside from the pretty and shiny rose-gold finish of the S-Heart Scalp Brush, I don't feel or notice any other measurable difference. In other words, I can't justify the cost of the very expensive S-Heart Scalp Brush when this IKEMOTO brush is so incredibly similar and works just as well on long, straight hair.
