Upgraded 3D Printer Parts Y-axis Synchronous Belt Stretch Straighten Tensioner for Creality CR-10 CR-10S 3D Printer

I installed this tensioner on my Anycubic Kobra Max and it is awesome. Very solid, all metal tensioner. Much easier to set the correct tension than with the stock plastic tensioner.

My printer came with a non-adjustable Y-tensioner. I 3D printed a version that worked fine for about a year, then tragedy, it broke and I was without my printer. My only option was to go back to the non-adjustable version. Nooo!Then I found this beauty at Amazon and put my printing on hold until it came in. Well made, a little tricky to install, but once in-place, it works great! I would buy another one if I needed it, but I don't think I'll need another for a looong time!

just to be clear, this does NOT fit the Creality 10-S5, without some moderate retro fitting. was expecting aimpke swap, but not so.

Works fine - after it is properly installed! Firs, putting tensioner together is a chore as you have to thread everything on one bolt - would have been much easier if the U-frame made from two (or three) parts like the "FYSETC X-axis Synchronous Belt Stretch Tensioner". As other reviewers mentioned, the adjustment screw is not secured so it need to be held when starting tensioning - would be much better if it was screwed into the base.Make sure that you use some play when mounting tensioner to the frame to raise the belt over the center rail (CR-10S).

Ease of tightening and loosening belt via knob is so much better than loosening 4 bolts, pulling tight and holding it there while you retighten the bolts!Negative is bun h of washers/spacers with no diagram. Trial and error on assembly. Just a picture of the exploded view would suffice.

This thing is pretty awesome, well made and after wrapping my head around the install it wasn’t bad at all. No instructions included but common sense is all you need to install it. Makes adjusting your y axis a lot easier

Garbage. Bearing started grinding immediately, without any tension on it at all. Managed to swap in the old creality double-bearing and get the thing working, but the black knob comes loose from the slight vibration of the machine. Impossible to contact the manufacturer. Two stars because it does work with substantial effort and modification, but you could also improvise something better for the same price from the hardware store.

The alignment of the mounting bracket is too low, causing the belt to rub the frame. When using the included spacers, the bearing gets held well but you can hear the bearing grind and jump instead of rolling smoothly.
