Product was as pictured. Works well so far
I am using this for a single battery disconnect on my RV. At some point I may want to add a seco d battery to the system....and this will make it very simple.You will need to purchase an addiyional battery cable to hook it up. I used a short starter cable on my installation. And if you are a first timer working with vehicle batteries....as you will see in many of the other posts......you install this on the ground or BLACK wire side of the battery.

Kills your battery
I paid a mechanic $120 to install this battery switch. It installed fine, EXCEPT that the wires are not heavy-duty enough so they needed to be replaced. It worked great too, except that I awoke every morning to a dead battery - without having used the switch! I don't know if the problem is the switch itself, or whether it's monkeying with the electrical system, but either way it was a costly lesson. If you have an older car without all the computerized systems, this might work better.

Works great, nice and smooth transitions.
Works great, but the only thing I really don't like is the lack of a positive engagement... like a detent or something. It turns really smoothly and easily and has a slight change in feel when you engage the position you are turning it to, but I like something that has a better report that you are at the position you are turning it to.

Does what it says on the box!
Girlfriend’s Range Rover had a massive current “leak” that I couldn’t nail down. Needed a quick fix to keep her mobile until I could find the problem. I didn’t want to install a manual switch on the exterior of her vehicle, nor did I want her to have to unlock the driver’s door with the metal key, pop the hood, and turn the switch every time, so I gave this a shot. It has worked like a champ.
