Attractive, easy to install, functional table/shelf HD antenna
Simple, powered HD antenna that works well for our ex-urban location. It is generally a good value if you keep expectations within reason. I purchased this antenna for the cosmetic and reported build quality over technical specifications. The unit fits well on a shelf, table, or bookcase with some cable management, and is small enough to be easy to disguise behind a screen of photos or books.Having worked in the wireless industry, I found the "160 mile" claim a bit amusing, as that is really a reference to the diameter of the circle from which this antenna can theoretically receive signals given a clear line of sight. A less confusing description would be 80 miles from tower to antenna on an open plain in good weather. For my application -- placed on a high shelf on the exterior wall of a first floor wooden structure in an ex-urban home surrounded by low hills and tall pines -- the antenna can pull in a clear signal from station towers approx 40mi away within an arc of approx 140 degrees of either the front or back planes of the antenna. Stations to either side and outside of that arc are received with less clarity and have to be much closer (10 to 20 mi). This is true of pretty much every tabletop HD antenna I've used at my home since I dropped cable TV about 10 years ago.The unit itself arrived well packaged, with no damage. Setup instructions were clear. The cable to the antenna is fully attached and cannot be removed. This posed no problem for my application, but might be a hindrance if the antenna needs to be moved some distance from the set-top. The amplifier is of the standard variety and provides a clear signal boost and noise reduction. Build quality of both the antenna and the amplifier was good, and above expectations for the price. Cable connectors are solidly attached and well made.Overall, this is a good unit for the price, and I expect it to serve it's purpose for many years.

Welcome Back, Modern Family!
This is our third over-the-air, indoor antenna and this one has the best results. The prior wannabes were those flexible flat ones. One an old RCA one and the other a new, so-called improved 2019 model for an 80-mile range, but managed a measley, pixely number of TV stations comparable to the RCA one. This white beauty is more stable with it's tough and stay-put rubber base. Our Pittsburgh Northside home (and nearby 8-story building) is only a few miles from several powerful TV towers, but the terrain has valleys and big hills so ourreception is spotty. In a picture, you can see the placement so far is atop the window casement, better than against the window glass or elsewhere on the walls. We now get about 8 new channels, including the ABC affiliate, in sharp HD clarity.I recomend this antenna whole heartedly to my fellow cable cutters/streamers.

Not as powerful as advertised
I purchased this antenna hoping that with the advertised range of 80-120 miles I would have a better signal quality, but after installing it I find the signal strength to be just as strong as my former antenna which had a range of 60-80 miles. On top of that, they do not include their own power source so I'm forced to use a power adapter that belonged to one of my old cell phone chargers. What if I did not have one available? Not happy with this purchase.

Easy to place or move around in the home.
Does what it should. I am not sure if it's any better than the cheaper flat antennas but it grabbed more channels and looks a lot better. Easy to place anywhere since it has a stand so that may be the reason I got more channels. It's upstairs on a window ledge connected to a Tablo Dual. Cord is long too. I did use the booster to get the max channels. When it comes to OTA tv it's pretty much placement and location of any antenna that matters more than brand. I got this since I can easily put it anywhere without sticking it to a wall.

Easy to install and great reception
I must admit that I was a bit overwhelmed when trying to decipher the digital antenna scene and pretty much ended up choosing this one by looks. I got it home, hooked it up, rand the channel scan and nothing! I got the instruction book out, read the instruction book and VIOLA it worked! There is a switch on the connector unit that differentiates between short range and long range. All of the stations I am trying to get were short range, so once the switch was in the proper position it found almost 60 channels. I put the unit behind the TV and stood it on the arm of the wall mounted holder. Reception is great and no cords going all over the place. The unit powers off a USB plug and luckily there was an empty USB plug on the back of my TV which powers the unit perfectly. This is the only drawback - There was no USB/110v adapter in the box so you will have to take one from a phone or purchase one if your TV does not have an available USB port. Otherwise, this was a great solution to cutting the cable cord and saving a bunch of money by not paying a cable bill anymore.

Either is junk or got a bad one
I needed to relocate the tv tuner in my house and didn't want to run new coax so I decided to give this a try. With my roof antenna I was getting 154 channels out of possible 166, then I had one of those paper thin antennas and I was only getting around 50 channels, so I was thinking this antenna "should" get at least 50 but better and more stable. I was hoping to get channels 2 to 13 at least. Tv station towers are 35 miles from me north west from my house.I placed this antenna on the window facing west (best I could do) and then did a scan again.I only got 33 channels with the power on, in both long range and short range setting of the amplifier. Plus, channels 7 and 9 no longer came in.In conclusion, my non powered paper thin antenna was able to pick up more channels and this one struggled to get 33. I live in Orange county California so TV signal is good all around.I had to return this because is useless and ended up running coax to the tv tuner and now pick up 155 crystal clear channels
