The media could not be loaded. This basket was the exact thickness, weight, sturdiness and quality as the one that I purchased from my local pool store, but at half the cost. It fit perfectly and held the chlorine sticks in a way which allows water to pass to the pump. The handle is also sturdy and easy to extract the basket.

I ordered this basket as a replacement using the exact item numbers. It is not exactly the same and does not fit exactly the same. It allows tiny bugs to bypass it down to the next filter basket just before entering the sand filter. It is however a very sturdy well-made basket. When I vacuum I have to use my broken previous basket because this one does not allow for the proper suction required to keep the vacuum hose attached. I will keep it because it does hold a chlorine tablet and is easily taken out to remove larger debris like leaves and larger bugs. It is a tight fit. If you must order from this seller only order one item at a time as I ordered three things and was only sent the basket. I needed a Weir door and a valve label both of which were ordered along with the basket and did not receive. They did say that they included those items with the basket but they did not.

Not much to review, if you liked the original one you will like this one. its made by Hayward and is a direct replacementMy original one broke at the ear that the handle fits in after 6 yrs of service, but to be fair I leave it in the skimmer thoughout the winter.

We have a above ground 18 foot round pool. Our filter system is from 2008 which requires a basket like this. We simply put a pantyhose stocking around the top which catches all extra debris and or branches just in case nothing leaks through. It's a great product at a great price. I would highly recommend.
