Installed on my 2007 Lexus ES350. I accidentally broke ...
Installed on my 2007 Lexus ES350. I accidentally broke mine when I was doing a valve cover gasket replacement. I looked online on Amazon for a less cost alternative from the Lexus parts dealer ($120). I was alittle hesitant so I purchased the insurance that was offered with this product. I installed, reset the error code, and now no error code. Hopefully it will last. If I have any issues before my insurance on this part runs out, I'll post an update.

Fits Front Intake (BANK 2)
I have a 2015 Toyota Sienna and the front and back should be the same part. This is not the case for this part. It will only fit the front intake on bank 2. My issue was on bank 1 which the part didnโt fit. The bracket wasnโt flush against the body of the solenoid so it would hit the frame. It wasnโt able to seat. I wasnโt going to bend it or grind it down to make it work either. It fit fine on the front. Next time around Iโll read the reviews and not be in a rush.

Fixed Check engine light (Camshaft position B - over-retarded) on 2012 Rav4
I have a 2012 Rav4 (v6, 4wd, base). Check engine light code was "camshaft position B, Bank 2 - retarded beyond specified limits. If you aren't familiar, with a V6 (or any other V-shaped engine), there are two 'banks' for each side of the 'V'. So to replace all VVT solenoids in V6 2012 Rav4, I needed 4 of them - but there are 3 different model numbers (with 2 of just one of those model numbers), so be careful. Swapped this and the other VVT solenoid for bank 2 - fixed check engine light problem. Takes 30 minutes and is way cheaper than the shop or dealer wanted. $60 each x2 and 30 minutes vs > $600? Easy choice. As of writing this review, I've driven 3000 miles and had it in my car for almost 3 months.

Mounting bracket wont fit Highlander
The part I got was NOT exactly as pictured and did not easily fit onto my 2015 Toyota Highlander. The mounting bracket is different. It is not flush to the VVT body. Instead it uses two 90 degree kinks to bend the mount, which make the gap between the body and the mount wider. I could not seat the part easily since the bracket hits the engine mounting location. I could NOT use this for the back bank closest to the firewall. I did use it on the forward bank after tapping it with a hammer and that one probably won't come off again. . Trying to re-order a difference brand that hopefully will fit.

Close but not close enough, would not fit the Bank # 1 Position #1 VVT position on 2016 Sienna XLE
I liked the quick delivery and the return policy and the Boroscope camera I purchased to assist with this job. The Dorman product appeared to be OEM quality and was close in size and dimensions. Where it fell short was the Bolt bracket attached to the solenoid portion of the part. Had this been one of the other 3 VVT's for this vehicle I may have attempted a field fit, but this could not be done (due to limited access) on the position for which it was purchased. This part says it will fit Bank # 1 Position # 1 (Exhaust Camshaft VVT for Bank 1 - my position) but it will not, the bracket interferes with bolt hole alignment and engine block. Also the bracket does not match the Amazon picture nor the Dorman website picture for the same identified part number. I overlooked this initially until I found it would not fit and my wife spotted the differences. The location of this part is low on the Firewall side of the motor and is very difficult to see and reach, easier access could be done with significant engine topside dismantling but that isn't a wise thing to do most of the time for a DIY mechanic like me. I used feel, Boroscope camera (purchased for this repair from Amazon), mechanic mirror to guide my repair. I had a assortment of close quarter tools but none worked well due to not enough clearance from several interference (mainly wiring harness routing and attachment bracket . I resorted to old school 30 year old craftsman 10 mm micro-box end wrench which worked great and a close quarter ratchet (not as useful as box end). The Dorman in the attached pictures is the silver shiny Solenoid with darkest ported valve, the original one is the dull silver Solenoid and ported valve. After all this I ended up going to the local Toyota dealership (only 2 in this whole area of the state had that part, all others had it on back order) and payed 3X the Amazon part price but it fit perfectly and is quality. I guess you get what you pay for. I hope this helps someone out there with the same issue I had, a 2016 Sienna XLE repeatedly throwing P0015 engine OBDII code. As I close in retrospect the hardest part of the job was disconnecting the Electrical connections taking care not to break the wires, and finding the best small tool for the close quarters and letting my hands heal up afterwards, gloves wont help they actually hindered so I did not wear them. Not much out there on the internet or youtube to help so i put all i could into this. Thank you.

Differences from original.
The o-ring was not as thick as the original. Not sure if that matters or not. What bothered me the most was the bracket used to bolt it down had to be modified. It was really close, but would not quite clear where it needed to bolt down. I had to bent it quite significantly. Bracket is in the same location as the photo, but was bent a little differently causing clearance issues. I got it in but it was a pain. If it had been on the rear bank, not sure I would have been able to see what was keeping it from going in.
