This was a great size and great looking bookshelf with toy bin slot for my 6-year old kid's bedroom! It provides space for tons of books and toys and precious treasures for display. The price was okay, not too steep. It was "medium to hard" difficulty to assemble the bookshelf. A little easier for those who are very experienced at putting together furniture. The bookshelf seems sturdy and I'm happy with the purchase.

We purchased this bookcase roughly 4 or 5 months ago for our 3 year old sons room. He tends to be pretty hard on furniture, so I wanted to give it some time before writing a review to see how it would hold up. So far it has been one of the best pieces we have ever purchased! It arrived quickly, and was packaged well, with no damage. The instructions were very easy to understand, and it was fully assembled in about 35 minuets. The shelves are deep, and can hold a lot!! It is a VERY sturdy case, and comes with a kit to secure it to the wall. Which is great when being used for little ones. My son loves that it is just the right height for him to be able to reach the shelves himself, and he loves the toy bin on the bottom where he keeps all of his favorite trucks and tractors. This really is a great piece of furniture! Will probably purchase another for our daughters room as well!

The instructions say it will take 1-2 people about 1 hour to assemble and labels the difficulty level as moderate. I put it together myself in about two hours. Take into account I'm 4 months post-partum and not as strong as I once was, so I definitely felt like assembly put me through the ringer - but it's totally doable. The book case is rather heavy and seems to be pretty sturdy - so that's good. I recommend definitely taking the time to get organized before diving in to assembly. I was missing one screw (I counted them as soon as I opened the bag they were in and was, indeed, shorted) but I was able to borrow from our stash of screws in the garage. So, no big deal. I definitely faltered at the cam locks (I hate cam locks) but they actually weren't too bad. The instructions are so-so, especially if you're someone who really benefits from having the instructions spelled out word for word. I did come to a couple of spots where I had to redo one shelf multiple times because I kept missing a step (my fault). I've read through some other reviews here and I've noted a couple folks mention missing pre-drilled holes. My thoughts on this (and perhaps I'm wrong) is that they've got something on backwards. All the pre-drilled holes I needed were provided, except when I was inadvertently putting a part on incorrectly. So, definitely check your install before giving up. At the end of it all, I did end up with one slender back-piece, up on the very top, that got installed backwards - and I left it. I was so done at that point and it really isn't that noticeable - except the predrilled holes for the very top of the back are on the front of the bookcase instead of the back where they should be. Oh well. All in all, once I was done, it didn't seem so bad. I feel like I could do another in half the time next time. I do wish they'd provided a bit more wood glue with the parts - though I may have been heavy handed with the glue. My husband was shocked when he got home and saw that I'd put this big bookcase together and was pleased with how sturdy the shelf is. We moved it to the nursery and it looks great. Will update with a picture later.

This bookcase looks great and has a lot of room. I'm not sure why other people said the instructions were unclear and that the assembly was difficult. It took time to put together, maybe a little over an hour. It's mostly putting in the cam screws and gluing in dowels. Use your own wood glue and put more than a drop in each hole. It's ok even if the glue comes out a bit. Just wipe it off. My only gripe with this product is that in some place where I was putting in a screw the particle board would start to split. Keep in mind that I was not using excessive force and was not using a power tool. DO NOT USE A POWER TOOL!. I like that they give you a screw, wall anchor and a pre drilled hole in the top to mount it to the wall for safety. All in all the bookcase looks great, has a lot of room and feels sturdy. It's made of particle board so you can always expect splitting I guess, but still....no good when that happens.

Great design and size for our nursery and very good quality. Straightforward instructions and seems sturdy, solid and durable. I added some peel and stick wallpaper to the back-board piece before fastening it to the finished bookshelf and it came out super cute.. very happy with this bookshelf for our little guy on the way

We purchased this bookshelf for our baby's nursery. At 8.5 months pregnant, I was able to put the unit together with ease. My husband assisted me moving it and he also secured it to the wall. I really like the simple, yet sleek design. It is very sturdy. I added containers to liven it up a bit and add some color. There is still plenty of room to add stuffed animals and books and the bottom shelving unit is great to throw miscellaneous toys and items in there for additional storage. Have received many compliments already! Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend.

I love it! A place down below to place toys in, and some shelves to put games and books on. It is really sturdy and helped with the toy clutter in our living room. It takes about a half hour to put together and is durable. The finish is like a plastic wood grain, and it is very easy to clean. It stores the toys and still fits in the living room with the rest of the decor. It has anchoring kit included to keep it falling on the children; however, it is stable enough to hold its own. With each shelf tapering back a bit I am not to worried about that anchor coming into play. With a house being overran with children's toys it is nice to have something maintain a grownup look.

I was near the end of the assembly process for this product when I realized one of the shelves was missing a pre-drilled hole for a cam lock (The big cylindrical metal pieces used to tighten furniture). I requested a replacement part and waited over a week with this giant nearly built shelf in my living room. I knew taking it apart would basically destroy it. When I finally received the replacement, I noticed they did not send any hardware, so I had to scrap the old defective one for the parts (The cam locks and the wooden dowels). On top of that, anything that was attached to the defective part was not sent, so I had to salvage that too. That involved unscrewing a piece and reattaching it to the replacement shelf. Unfortunately, unscrewing anything made out of this powdery wood material means that it basically can't be reused. The dowels were also glued into the defective shelf so they did not survive the removal process. As a side note, you know how most furniture comes with some extra hardware? Maybe a couple of dowels and screws in case of any issues? Not this one. No extra parts. After all of that, I tried putting the shelf together again, and now none of the cam locks were tightening the shelf all the way, resulting in large gaps and a lack of overall sturdiness. This is probably because these cheap pieces of furniture are not designed to be taken apart, however, I had no choice since I had to replace a defective part. Long story short, the entire shelf is now a giant useless hazard. I would pretty much need to replace the entire thing and start over, but I have wasted more than enough time as it is. I am requesting a refund which is a whole other issue with this company. They wanted me to unassemble and repackage the whole thing. After taking the thing apart, it's completely unusable, dowels are glued all over the place, and the powdery wood substance is crumbling and making a mess everywhere. I'm guessing they know this furniture does not survive disassembly, and they just require you to ship it back as an inconvenience and a deterrent to getting your money back. I'm basically mailing a bunch of garbage back to them in order to get my money back, but that's fine since it's what they sent me in the first place. I was fooled by the nice design, the pretty pictures, and the suspiciously great reviews. I don't know what all these other people are receiving but it must not be what I got. You have been warned.

This is a great book shelf. I pretty much out it together myself. Just needed my hubby to left it up and I finished it. Looks great and would buy another one!

Great price, shape and colour. Matches 3 larger bookcases previously ordered. Didn’t take long to put together. Holds a lot of stuff. Very sturdy and I like the feeling of the finish.
